Description:

1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1

This was a storage unit find. I don't know the history other than I've checked it for liens etc.. car looks to be complete. Was told previous owner had driven it in and parked it about 8 years earlier. I'm not a collector but had restored a few very bugs and thought this would be a great project. My business is growing and I don't have time so I'm selling it.
What makes this car special: From the VIN code we know it is a 1972 Ford Mustang made in Dearborn, Michigan in Sept. of 1971. It is an original Fastback Mach 1, and is an "H" coded car meaning that is is equipped with the optional 168hp 351ci 2V V8. While the paint is far from perfect, it is the original color, and actually the car is almost completely original. A few components were changed on the engine, but the originals do come with the car.
Pros from what I see: Body is pretty straight. Hood is shot, seems normal for that year. The piece that hold the taillights is pretty bad and trunk has some holes, gotta love 70's steel. Car came from Cali, no salt. Interior carpet and material is in good condition. Original mag wheels in good condition, but do need a good polishing. The person parked it properly. All fluids look new like they were changed just before storing. The gas cap was removed, I found it wrapped up, and the top of the fuel filling pipe blocked and tapped up so no moisture could get in. Edlebrock 4 barrel carb with Holley high performance valve rollers. I also believe these are older parts. The original blue air intake, head, oil sump pan and 2 barrel carb were inside all wrapped up. New wheel hubs still in package. I had keys cut when I had it towed to my place. You are seeing it like I found it.
Cons: I have paperwork showing purchase no title. Dash padding is cracked. Needs door panels. Needs front and rear taillight panels.
