1929 Ford Model A Fordor, all original, running with all electrics working. I looked for a few years before finding a Fordor, lots of Tudors but theFordors are pretty hard to come by. They were the 2nd most expensive ModelA below the Towne Cars - reason why there are so manysoft top trucks (cheapest) through the coupes (mid priced)thenTudors, Fordors and Town Cars being the most expensive and least common. Body and engine numbers are correct according to web sources - correct for the year, model, plant locations, etc. It appears the engine is the correct original that came with the car. Numbers below.

Still 6v w/generator. Runs and drives, all gears. Brakes work (need adjustment), etc. All electrical systems work, hi/low beams, running lights, brake light, cowl lights & oogah horn. Vehicle has never been titled and is being sold with bill of sale. History: From Kansas originally.Purchased by 2nd owner in early `50s. Purchased by 3nd owner from2nd owner's daughter after her father's death in `80s and was kept in a garage.I'm the 4th owner and purchased in 2011 and has been in warehouse since.

This was a father/son project that never got off the ground. Itaught my son to drive in this car - figured he would have bragging rights for life. The only missing part that I can tell is one of the engine splash pans on the carb side - see photos. There is rust in the gas tank, not leaking, but clogs up the gravity feed to the fuel bowl. Once rust is moved, car starts by electric starter and runs and drives. Again, everything on this car works, and it's ~90 years old. It has not been sitting in a field rusting, etc. All the glass is present, roof vinyl is present and not torn. There are obvious non-original items that have been replaced over the years. Seats are covered in vinyl, roof has been replaced, etc. most of the original cloth covering on the interior is still present. Cowl lights did not come out until 1930 so they are an obvious upgrade as is the vacuum operated wolf whistle probably added in the `50s. The tires still hold air for days.

Original unrestored condition. No body work performed, no start/stop project, never modified, etc. This is the ideal candidate for a restoration, hotrod, or the base for a full blown Ridler award contender. Body & frame are factory straight, sheet metal is dent/damage free. All doors, seams, windows, align - no sags, etc. This is the result of this car being in dry storage for more than half of it's life (since it was no longer driven on the road). Not the typical 90 year old rust bucket drug out of a hay field. You can certainly find cheaper Model A's, and will also certainly sink an exponential amount oftime and moneyinto them to bring the body/frame up to the present condition of this Fordor.

A 90 year oldcar with no rust, that is very rare!!! (there is obvious surface rust but no cancerous rust holes, etc.). Typical rust/cancer spots on this Model A Fordorare solid and rot free: under/around the front windshield, both theframe & windshield surround -All 4 door bottoms are solid and not rusted/rotted out (usable sheet metal - does not need rebuilding, etc., very solid). A quick sandblast of these known problem areas, some filler and sanding to smooth pitting and off to paint. Not the typical cut out and replace of most barn/field finds. There is no need to cut/fabricate/replace sheet metal on this car - reason I looked long and hard to find a Fordor in this condition. It was a 3 year search for me to find this one. All original body plates still affixed to original wood body frame, firewall, etc.. Don't let this one get away! You will kick yourself when you're fixing and paying to repair/replace windshield surrounds and seats, door bottoms, etc. All the window regulators work (windows go up and down), locks and latches work, etc. the Tudor

Don't be the one who tries to save $2000-3000 on the original car purchase only to spend $10k-15k+ to bring a $4000-6000 car up to the condition of an $8000-9000 car. Start with the absolute best car possible - it will save thousands upon thousands in the long run!!!

Everything on this car works, mechanical & electrical!!!

If you want a fully restored parade car I suggest spending the $20-25k and buying one already in that condition. Granted they usually have the signs of age/cancer/etc. However the paint is shiny, they run and drive, look good and draw attention. I purchased this car specifically with a hotrod build in mind. I wanted a solid/straight body with all the parts, etc. After all, this is where most of the labor costs are in a hotrod build, not a ratrod. The frames and running gear are usually scrapped as they will not handle modern power and speeds - however these are in perfect running condition, a benefit of finding a body in this great of condition.

Fordors are hard enough to find as it is. The coupe has been done to exhaustion, good luck standing out in that crowd.Recently the Tudors have been coming on the scene. Given the Tudor & Fordor are the same size, yet the Fordor has a bench seat in the front as it does not need the split seat access to the rear like the Tudor, it yields very unique options for customization in the front. With the rear coach (suicide) doors it also offers further custom options for the interior as a whole. All Model A's share the same frame and dimensions - the bodies are the difference (suspensions, etc.). My vision was a 4 door hot rod I could take the whole family in. I've done the exotic & custom car scenes ad nauseam andmy common issue/regret was that it was usually a lonely experience. It was either me and my wife or just me and one kid... A few rough memories of having to decide which kid goes with you, one is usually left behind in tears, especially the young ones. Never a true family event. Even if your a grandparent, a coupe gets grandma and grandpa there but your grandkids can't go with you. Good luck getting your kids to bring out the grand kids to a rod rally... I can barely get my kids to return calls....
