If your into "survivor" "barnfind" 70s style street machines your gonna love this car. This car is not a show car but it is a show stopper. Im going to tell you what I know and have come to learn about this car as there are a few blank pages but what I can tell you is that this is an incredibly well preserved 7k MILE street race car and a VERY rare find. I purchased this car from the previous owners Brother-in-law as the owner passed unexpectedly and the story passed to me went like this. This car was purchased new by either a small dealer or service station in 1972 and immediately built it into the car you see here or very similair to. The original owners didnt use the car on the street it was only raced. The second owner after returning from Vietnam became aware of the car as it was in his town and eventually purchased it maybe around '80 and from then on the car was never raced it was only used from time to time to go to cruise nites and in the end only accumulated 7k miles and it shows everything opens and shuts the way it should and there is absolutely ZERO RUST the underside of the car is blue. The car does have its share of chips scratches a small ding or dent as you can see in the pics but overall the car has held up remarkably well esp for a race car. the paint is OG as is the interior with the exception of the aftermarket gauges shifter, cage and assoc racing equipt, all the chrome and trim is great the int is very nice the carpets are a little worn but I have a set of blue carpets that the previous owner picked up somewhere along the way that could be installed. The paint shines up nicely but as I said its had its share of action but at 10 feet looks great and again there is NO RUST in this car. The car has all the period tricks and parts of the time for the 351C/ Pinto swap. The car has a BUILT 351C with a solid cam roller valvetrain huge headers that run forward and under the front suspension ive changed all the upper gaskets and changed all the fluids rebuilt the 750 Holley new plugs and wires and the car fired to life ive been running it on race gas and its nasty and sound great its got a C6 thats also totally built with ahigh stall conv the car has a 9 inch rear with great homebuilt traction bars and theres also a set of oldschool wheelie bars. the internals of the motor and rear gear are unknown to me but as I log more miles on the car ill learn more. other period modifications were a fabricated core support to run a huge radiator a more modern elec water pump was added it has a larger set of 5 lug front drums and line lock it has a huge almost 10qt oil pan up front and a steering rack that I also dont believe was original as in 72 I dont think they were out I think they came out a couple years later in the Mustang 2. The car is not tubbed. its my opinion that the build quality of this car is very high for the time but now in the day of Gas Monkey and Barrett Jackson the work may seem a little homegrown but the truth is this car held up well considering its possibly a wheel stander and the cars still in one piece this many years later. I went thru the car and did all the fluids and soft parts with the intention of using it this spring on the street and the other day the mast cyl started weeping I located and installed a new one so in a few days I plan to start logging miles in the car and making a good walk around video of the car running. Im selling the car as a Turn key car but theres always small repairs that can be done. This car is a VERY well preserved period piece and I would not change anything more than the parts to keep it running and racing. This car is NASTY and on the ragged edge of being a street car in this day and age it would make a great bracket car but my intention is to use it on the street it screams 70s it sounds unreal I cant wait to start using it. Its hard to tell how fast it is but i will tell you this its solidly an 11 sec car thats a broad stroke guess but its built to go faster and I believe it is the cars a little beast If I found a 10 sec time slip under the seat it wouldnt suprise me I hope to know for sure soon.. This car checks all the boxes and its be hard to find a similair one this clean and this well built its a true survivor 7k mile car the tires are new its got a great set of Super tricks on the front it needs a nice set of period M&H slicks from Coker. Look at the pics read the add and feel free to ask any questions. Calculate finding an old car this solid and then building it even that car will be a cheap copy at twice the money this car is period OG right down to the home pinstriping "Boss351" Good Luck lets make a deal I cant keep em all.I will assist with shipping at the buyers expense$500 dep due immediately on purchase
