1956 Ford Fairlane

History The Ford Fairlane is an automobile model that was sold between 1955 and 1970 by Ford in North America. The name is derived from Henry Ford's estate, Fair Lane, near Dearborn, Michigan. The first use of the Crown Victoria nameplate by Ford was in the 1955 model year as part of the Ford Fairlane range. The Fairlane Crown Victoria was given its own B-pillared roofline, with a stainless-steel band "crowning" the roof, an interpretation of the "victoria carriage" bodystyle. Why This Car Is Special This is a beautiful 1956 Ford Fairlane Tudor Victoria here at Skyway Classics. It is painted in a premium shade of white with a blue top featuring the classic "Crown Victoria" roof styling. Mechanical Specs The Vicky has a lot of factory looking charm and parts but the heart of the car, the engine, is not the original but a warmed over 302 V8 with chrome valve covers and air cleaner, performance ignition, performance spark plug wires, and a very detailed engine compartment. It also has power steering and power brakes, polished aftermarket air conditioning unit, factory cast iron exhaust manifolds flowing back to a dual exhaust system, performance brakes and a performance improved suspension with better shocks as well as a stronger performance rear axle. Interior The interior features a great white split bucket seats in the front and a matching white rear seat, and matching door panels. Grab hold of the original factory steering wheel and column shifter and the painted dash holding factory and performance gauges, stereo system, and cold air conditioning. Look up and you will see the matching white headliner too. Exterior The exterior has an incredible white paint job with blue roof that you can tell when you see it was a fantastic restoration with smooth lines, great lines and chrome, rear side skirts with great wide whitewall tires riding on factory chrome hubcaps, a great custom radio antenna sunken into the rear body panel.
