1965 Ford Mustang Fastback 2+2

1965 Mustang GT Fastback 2+2 Completely Restored
I am selling my 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback that has been completely rebuilt from top to bottom. The car started as a "No Hit" 1965 Fastback with all original panels, original floor, etc.. No rust, except for a very small spot on the rear quarter, that was cut out and reskinned. The car was completely disassembled and virtually every component was then purchased new or rebuilt for the car.
The body was sanded down and repainted Wimbledon White with single stage acrylic urethane Diamont Paint and was painted by a retired Ford Body Man that also painted the First Ford Mustang Fastback built, VIN #001, so rest assured, it is a high quality paint job. The hood was changed to a Fiberglass Tony Branda Hood with air intake and fits incredibly well, as see from the pictures. As noted above, the floors are all original and the car is as straight as an arrow with impeccable paint and body work. All doors and fenders align incredibly well.
The Engine compartment is also painted Wimbledon White to add a bit of character and style to the car and EVERY component in the Engine Bay is brand new. We started with a Built 289 Ford Motor with Edelbrock Intake and Carburetor with a slight Cam to enhance the output to about 345H.P. We added an Aluminum Radiator as well as electric fans to keep the engine ultra cool, even in the excessive heat of summer, so there will never be an issue with overheating. Every component on the engine is brand new and the motor was again built by the same gentleman that restored and built the motor for the first Fastback ever built, VIN #001. Headers were added and connected to a brand new Borla Exhaust System, that makes the car sound aggressive, but not obnoxiously loud. Connected to the new Stainless exhaust are brand new Trumpets that exit the rear valance and give the car the same look as an original GT(along with the front GT Grille with Fog Lights). Perfect for the Weekend Cruise In's and Carshows!
The transmission is a completely rebuilt Ford toploader with a new Hurst shifter and all new linkage, so the car shifts very smoothly. The transmission is connected to the motor with all new clutch, pressure plate and Throw out bearing assembly on one end and new driveshaft, U-Joints and rebuilt 8" rear end with 3.00 Ratio on the traction end of things. This provides a comfortable ride on freeways and some aggressiveness around town.
All new Gas tank, fuel lines and electrical system have been sorted out and everything works on the car. New horns, lights and completely checked out electrical with all new switches are in the car.
The brake system is completely new with new Disc Brakes up front, drilled rotors and all new lines and hoses, with new drum brakes and hardware in the rear. Of course, New Master Cylinder and Calipers as well.
Suspension from front steering components (tire Rods, Ball Joints, Center link, etc), to A-Arms,Shocks and everything from bushings to sway bars are completely brand new!
The New BFG Radial tires have about 50 Miles on them as I wanted to ensure the car was completely sorted out and ready to go to the next show. The tires are mated to 17" Vintage 45 Wheels and have an awesome stance after being sent to the alignment shop to ensure perfect alignment.
The interior is completely brand new from the Dash, Console, Paint, Upholstery, Door panels, Sill Plates, Kick panels, Seat Belts and every other component you can think of in the interior. All lights and switches work as they should.
As a recap:This car is basically Brand New with virtually every part and component being brand new or completely rebuilt. We searched and found the absolutely best and most pristine body in the country and completely built an incredible car from the ground up, sparing NO EXPENSE. The car needs nothing and is ready to go anywhere.
As you can see from my feedback, I try to describe each of the cars in my collection as accurately as possible, as there is nothing worse than getting a car that was NOT AS DESCRIBED! It is frustrating, so I try to provide all the specifics to you prior to having you make an offer. You can also call me directly at 404-414-8832 to discuss and I welcome all inspections.
I also have one other car I am looking to sell or take a partial trade on. It is a Highly Documented 1967 Corvette Coupe 427/435 with J-56 Big Brakes and 8 other Options. It is available to be seen on CorvetteForum.
