Description:

1930 Ford Model A Briggs 35B

This is a very rare original 1930 Model A Ford 4-door Phaeton with original lacquer body paint in very good condition. As original, the fenders were painted in black enamel and show some signs of age and peeling, but there is no rust nor dents whatsoever. The body is pin-striped in straw to accentuate the two greens and straw-colored spoke wheels. The front and rear bumpers have been changed to stainless steel but are totally original and indistinguishable from the original nickel (chrome.) The electrical system has been changed to 12-volt with an alternator, making the running lights safer for highway driving at night.

All all-weather equipment has been completely replaced including the convertible top, side curtains and supporting irons and fits snugly. A custom bag has been made for all side curtains and supporting irons. FORD running lights have been added to the front bumpers for additional safety at night. The rubber on the running boards has been replaced and the step plates have been added for driver and passenger safety when entering/exiting the vehicle. A Ford stone guard has been added to the front of the radiator to protect it.

On the back of the car there is a luggage rack with oak strips on it. An original, authentic front and side-opening trunk with leather straps is mounted on the rack. The trunk interior has two custom-made removable/sliding wood trays inside. (See photos.) Hand-etched “wind wings” have been added to the windshield for driver and passenger comfort. There are no rips or tears in the upholstery, which is rolled and pleated vinyl. There is an original case/cover that protects the convertible top when not in use. Removable door protector arm rests have been added to the tops of the front driver and passenger- side doors. This vehicle has been shown numerous times and a full set of tools in custom-made oak frames come with the vehicle (see photos). The vehicle has spent its entire life garaged with a vehicle cover, which comes with the car.

Seat belts have been added in the back seat to protect the grandchildren. An electric windshield wiper and blade are included but not mounted, since the car is not driven in the rain.
