1961 Ford F 100 SWB Unibody 292 V-8 and 4 speed manual transmission offered by Gas Monkey Garage! Ford introduced the F series of truck in 1948 and Americans have been in love with them ever since making them the #1 selling truck in North America (for 24 years the F series was the #1 selling vehicle in the U.S.!) We acquired this nicely preserved example built at the Kansas City plant in January 1961.The original 292 CID V8 and the original 4 on the floor Transmission are present and this truck runs and drives well. The door hinges are fairly solid. There is some rust trough on the door threshold that should be an easy repair if you're so inclined (see all pics). Underside pics reveal a fairly solid frame, floor, bed & suspension components with superficial rust present on most components (see all pics). The exterior is in fairly good condition with what appears to be the original paint with some kickass patina showing. Most of the trim is present and would present well as is or be an easy restoration if desired (there is some rust perforation along with some minor bubbling in the lower bed corners and tailgate and the left tailgate hinge is broken, see all pics). Most of the exterior trim, head and tail light moldings are present. The interior is fairly complete and would benefit from some lovin'. This truck does run and drive, however it should be completely serviced prior to any extended driving to ensure safety and reliability. (And due to our filming schedule, we can't perform any additional work on this truck or build it for you) Sold as is/where is!
