ALL PAINT MATCHES WITH EQUAL WEAR AND AGING AND LOOKS LIKE IT IS ALL ORIGINAL PAINT, BUT WHEN YOU DO A DEEP INSPECTION YOU WILL SEE A LITTLE OVER SPRAY IN THE DOOR FILLER AREA, A COUPLE SMALL DRIPS ON THE FRONT VALANCE UNDER THE BUMPER AND ALL OF THE CAR HAS THE ORIGINAL FACTORY HAND PAINTED PINSTRIPE, EXCEPT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IT WAS REPLACED WITH YOU STANDARD VINYL STYLE THAT YOU REALLY CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE UNTIL YOU TOUCH IT. THIS CAR HAS A GREAT FLASHBACK TIME CAPSULE FACTORY LOOK AND STANCE. AS MENTIONED ABOVE THIS CAR HAS NOT ONE PAINT BUBBLE, ROT, CANCER OR SURFACE RUST AND HAS A BEAUTIFUL EQUALLY AGED LACQUER PAINT ALL THE WAY AROUND WITH THAT KILLER HIGH GLOSS FINISH. THE CAR STILL RETAINS ALL IT'S ORIGINAL GLASS WITH THE FORD LOGO THAT IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE, ALL THE PLASTIC LENSES STILL HAVE NICE COLOR AND CLARITY AND ARE FREE OF ANY CRACKS OR DAMAGE. THE CHROME ON THE BUMPERS SHOW WELL AND HAVE NICE REFLECTION,THE DOORS SHUT AND POP OPEN VERY TIGHT, SMOOTH AND EASY WITH NO SAG, ALL DOORS LOCK, ALL WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN SMOOTHLY AND THE CHROME EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES ARE STILL NICE AND TIGHT AND DO NOT FLOP OR RATTLE LIKE OFTEN FOUND ON THIS ERA OF VEHICLE. THE HOOD POPS RIGHT UP WITH ONE EASY PULL ALONG WITH THE TAILGATE HATCH THAT STAYS UP, SHUTS AND CLOSES WITH EASE, BUT THE REAR GLASS DOESN'T STAY UP WHEN POPPED SEPARATE AND JUST NEED A NEW GAS SHOCK THAT RUNS ABOUT $15. THIS CAR HAS EXCELLENT ORIGINAL PANEL GAPS ALL THE WAY AROUND AND OVERALL CONDITION SHOW IT HAS BEEN GARAGED AND NOT LEFT OUT IN THE ELEMENTS. YOU CAN SEE HOW SOLID AND HONEST THIS OLD WAGON IS BY THE PICS ON THE TOP OF THE ROCKERS, BOTTOM OF DOORS, FLOORBOARDS, BODY MOUNTS, UNDERSIDE OF ROCKERS AND ALL THE OTHER HIGH RUST AREAS. THIS CAR IS ARROW STRAIGHT AND TO ME IS A TEN OF TEN'S FOR SURVIVOR CONDITION, BUT EVEN AS US PEOPLE IF WE WERE LEFT IN A BUBBLE FOR 34 YEARS WE STILL WOULD SHOW SOME AGE AND HAVE LITTLE IMPERFECTIONS. THANKFULLY THIS CAR CLEARLY HAD A VERY EASY LIFE, SO THE WEAR IS VERY MINIMAL WITH SMALL STONE CHIPS THAT ARE NO LARGER THEN A PEN TIP, MAINLY ALONG THE FRONT FASCIA OF THE NOSE, TOP SIDE OF HOOD AND ALONG THE LOWER AREAS BEHIND THE TIRES.THERE IS SOME SMALL ENTRY MARKS AND CHIPS AROUND THE REAR HATCH AND DOOR ENTRY AREAS ALONG WITH SOME CHIPS AROUND DOOR EDGES. ALL THE BLACK EXTERIOR RUBBERS AND MOLDING STILL HAVE NICE DEEP COLOR, BUT THE OUTER RUBBER THAT SITS AGAINST THE DOOR SIDE GLASS IS AGED AND GETTING HARD RESULTING IN SOME SURFACE SCRATCHES IN FRONT PASSENGER DOOR GLASS. THERE IS A SMALL DING UNDER THE MOLDING TOWARD THE REAR OF THE DRIVER DOOR AND A SMALL ONE ABOVE THE MOLDING ON THE DRIVER SIDE REAR DOOR. THE ORIGINAL PAINTED PINSTRIPE ON THE HOOD EDGES IS GETTING FAINT FROM YEARS OF LOVING WAXES, THE SILVER AROUND THE HEADLIGHTS AND IN THE GRILLE HAVE STARTED TO FADE AND AS YOU CAN SEE THERE IS A CHIP OUT OF THE PLASTIC IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER HEADLIGHT AND THE FRONT MOLDING IS MISSING ON THE VERY FRONT OF THE PASSENGER FENDER. I HAVE ATTACHED MANY CLOSE UP PICS AND IT CAN ALSO ALL BE SEEN IN THE VIDEO, BUT IF MORE ARE NEEDED LET ME KNOW. THIS WELL LOVED FAMILY HAULER IS HARD TO FIND NOT ONLY IN UN-MOLESTED ORIGINAL CONDITIO, BUT VERY HARD TO FIND ONE OF THIS CALIBER INTERIOR-INSIDE THE SAME WELL PRESERVED AND TIME CAPSULE LOOKING ORIGINAL CONDITION FROM THE OUTSIDE FOLLOWS TO THE INTERIOR. NEVER SMOKED IN WITH A PERFECT UN-USED ASH TRAY AND CIGARETTE LIGHTER, NO PETS, LEAKS, MOLD OR SMELLS AND BEING A GARAGED AND WELL PRESERVED CAR IT DOES NOT HAVE ONE ITEM THAT IS SUN FADED, THE DASH, SEATS, DOOR PANELS, SEATS, PLASTIC TRIM AND HEADLINER ARE IMMACULATE WITH THE SAME COLOR AND SHADE AS THEY WERE NEW. THE TILT STEERING COLUMN IS TIGHT AND ADJUSTS SMOOTHLY, THE STEERING WHEEL HAS NO BREAKDOWN WITH CRISP THIN WOOD TRIM ALONG WITH THE DASH AND ALL THE GAUGES ARE NICE AND CLEAR AND WORK PROPERLY. THE RED SEAT BELT LIGHT STAYS ON THE DASH FOR SOME REASON, THE A/C BLOWS COLD, BUT BEING WINTER I'M NOT SURE IF IT'S JUST 25-35 DEGREE OUTSIDE AIR BEING PULLED IN OR A/C BLOWING COLD. THE CARPETS STILL HAVE THE NICE WOVEN PATTERN WITH NO FLAT WORN SPOTS, NO HOLES, FADING OR BIG STAINS WHICH IS AMAZING FOR THIS COLOR OF INTERIOR THAT'S 34 YEARS OLD. THE ONLY REAR WEAR IS A LITTLE DARKENING IN THE CARPET IN THE FOOT RESTING AREAS AND MAYBE A LITTLE NEAR THE DOOR ENTRIES. THE DOORS POP RIGHT OPEN WITH EASEAND SHUT LIKE NEW WITH ONE SOLID SOUND AND NOSAGGING AND HAVE BEAUTIFUL GLOSSY PAINT THROUGHOUT THE JAMBS AND HINGES WITH NEARLY NO ENTRY WEAR MARKS. THE HEADLINER IS THE SAME AS MOST OF THE INTERIOR AND IS PERFECT WITH NO SAGGING AND THE SUN VISORS MOVE FREELY AND STAY IN THE POSITION YOU LEAVE THEM, BUT THE MATERIAL THEY HAVE COVERING THEM IS SOFT AND YOUR FINGER LEAVES MARKS WHEN YOU GRAB THEM. OVERALL THINS INTERIOR IS AMAZING AND I WISH I COULD FIND ORIGINAL INTERIORS LIKE THIS EVERY WEEK AND I THINK IT WOULD BE NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO TO FIND A NICER AND MORE ORIGINAL 34 YEAR OLD INTERIOR! MECHANICAL- THIS LITTLE TAN WAGON CRUISER IS VERY TIGHT AND SOLID MECHANICALLY. IT IS A VERY STRONG AND SMOOTH RUNNER WITH NO HESITATION, TICKING, SMOKING OR ISSUES. IT DRIVES AND STOPS STRAIGHT AND TIGHT JUST AS IT SHOULD. IT HAS THE FACTORY FUEL INJECTED 3.8 V6 MOTOR, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, POWER STEERING AND POWER DISC BRAKES UP FRONT. THE BRAKES STOP SMOOTH AND STRAIGHT WITH NO PULLING, SHAKING, FADING OR NOISES. THE STEERING IS VERY SOLID WITH NO WONDERING WHEEL, PLAY, CROOKED WHEEL OR BALL-JOINT BINDING SOUNDS AND THE SUSPENSION IS NICE AND TIGHT THROUGH CORNERS AND BUMPS WITH NO BODY ROLL OR BOUNCY SHOCKS. ALL THE WIRING AND BOLTS ARE ORIGINAL AND UNTOUCHED. THE FUEL INJECTED MOTOR ACTS LIKE A LATE MODEL CAR WITH NO TRAFFIC OR COLD START WORRIES, HAS NICE THROTTLE RESPONSE, IDLES CLEAN AND SMOOTH AND HAS NO ISSUES OR SIGNS OF BEING TIRED. THE AUTOMATIC TRANS HAS NICE QUICK DOWN SHIFTS WHEN YOU PUT THAT LITTLE V6 TO WORK AND HAS NICE CONSISTENT UP SHIFTS. THIS IS A FUN CLASSIC THAT I WOULD NOT STRESS ABOUT BEING IN TRAFFIC WITH AND WOULD TRUST TO TAKE ANYWHERE :) THE LTD AND FAIRMONT WERE MADE BY THE MASSES, SO CAN'T REALLY BE LABELED AS A RARE CAR, BUT THEY ARE RARELY SEEN ON THE ROAD TODAY ESPECIALLY IN THIS CONDITION. THIS ERA IN THE AUTOMOTIVE WORLD WAS NOT BUILDING VEHICLES THAT STIRRED MUCH PASSION IN PRODUCTION OR IN OWNERSHIP AND WAS NOT AIMED TO BE VEHICLES THAT WERE MEANT TO BE CHERISHED, BABIED AND LEFT IN THIS KIND OF CONDITION OVER 3O YEARS LATER. IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYONE IN THEIR LATE 20'S TO 60'S HAVE HAD A MAVERICK OR ONE OF THESE CARS IN THEIR FAMILY LINE SOMEWHERE AND THEY ALWAYS START WITH EITHER THE COMMENT " BOY YOU DON'T SEE THOSE ANYMORE" OR "I CAN'T REMEMBER THE LAST TIME I SAW ONE OF THOSE" WHILE THIS CAR STILL OF COURSE WILL SHOW SOME YEARS AND AGING IT STILL HAS THAT FACTORY FRESH TIME CAPSULE LOOK AND IS A TRUE TESTAMENT TO THE CARE AND LOVE THIS CAR WAS GIVEN BY IT'S OWNER'S, AS IT JUST SIMPLY WOULDN'T BE HERE TODAY OR LOOK AS GOOD AS IT DOES TODAY IF IT WASN'T LOOKED AFTER!
