Description:

1970 Ford Mustang

I am listing my 1970 Boss 302-Matching numbers car. This lime green metallic car starts and goes anywhere at any time. One of the few previous owners put together a nice binder showing all of the people that have owned this car. Started out in Alabama with the first owner having the car 24 years then it was sold to another Alabama family in 1994 who kept it 6 years. The entire history of ownership and services performed on this car are all packed in this great binder. This car has an older restoration but the car still looks sharp and shines! The interior of this car is perfect. I tried adding more pictures but apparently I can only add 24. This is a numbers matching car which is becoming rarer to find these days. Ive taken photos to show how nice this car really is. Now it does have the following, minor scratches, nicks, dings, touch ups, etc. absolutely no rust though!. None of these very small defects affects the overall look of this BEAST coming down the road. Obviously when you get up and look closely, you will see these older touch ups, etc. Nothing serious though. I am not one of the people that will tell you that the car is perfect like the person that i bought it from. I'm an honest person simply having to sell the car that I love. I drive and enjoy this car and never have any reservations on its reliability. The odometer just clicked over to 00044 miles. I keep the car clean and under a cover in my locked garage. There is one photo showing the rocker arms which I took just this week as I replaced the valve cover gaskets as one had a slight leak. It still retains its solid lifters which is evident when you crank the car up.This car has a shaker hood and hood tach; both which had been added by a previous owner.
I also took pictures of the DOZE # on the intake manifold as well as the heads.
The car steers and handles well. Stops on a dime as the brakes are perfect. This car comes with a clock but it isn't working at the moment. That was on my " to do" list but hadn't had the chance to investigate.
I will require a 1000.00 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of the sale of the car with the remainder to be paid within 3 days. I live about 25 miles North of Charlotte, N. C. and will do my best to help the buyer with setting up transport for the car as there are many classic car shops located in and around Charlotte and I'm sure they would know the best company to use although ultimately, it is up to the new owner.
Please ask any questions that you may have and I will answer them as quickly as I possibly can. I will not be available to show the car for the next 2 days as I will be tied up with other business but am wide open afterwards.Thank you and good luck! I know somebody out there will give this great legendary car a great new home.P. S. Almost forgot but on each sun visor, there is a signature. One being Parnelli Jones; legendary Boss car driver and George FollmerThe car will also be available for viewing for anybody that has serious interest. I had this Boss listed a few days ago and had mentioned that it needed a tune up-Not the case. I had removed the spark plug wires from the spark plugs when I changed the valve cover gaskets and after checking each to make sure they were properly seated, found that 2 were not. Took the car out and it runs very strong.I HAVE ALSO LOWERED THE PRICE OF THE CAR FROM 72,500.00 TO WHAT MY RESERVE WAS ON THE OTHER AUCTION. ONCE AGAIN, THIS IS A NUMBERS MATCHING CAR. Please feel free to contact me with any questions that you may have and I will respond as quickly as possible. Thanks and enjoy!
