1971 Ford Torino GT

Long, sleek, and stylish, Ford had a winner on its hands with the 1971 Torino GT. So when you can find one that is well presented and thoughtfully upgraded (like the new overdrive transmission) then you've got a great cruising coupe at an obtainable price.
This real-deal Torino GT is a true prize for muscle car collectors. The Chevelles looked great, but these rarer blue oval coupes captured the style even better. This was given the time to develop some of the most interesting body lines put to sheetmetal. For example, the sharp crease that starts on the front fender's overhang progresses into a wave that continues past the door. Finished in an aggressive red, this one has all the right elements like the form-hugging bumpers, large pillarless hardtop profile, and a hint of flying buttress off the rear. But what people really love are performance styling cues. Up front it's the blacked-out hood, large scoop, and the optional hidden headlights. Out back the the streamlined trunk with integrated ducktail spoiler was truly a NASCAR inspiration for the road. It is all capped off with those unmistakable Ford Magnum 500 wheels.
Inside this is premium and roomy. The parchment interior is nice with the seats, door panels, and headliner all looking quite bright. Plus, plush black carpeting means you never have to think about dusty shoes before hopping in and going for a ride. So that makes this coupe easy to share with family and friends. In fact, while it's intermediate-sized by 1970s standards, today this Torino GT will seat six people with ease. But even when it's just you going for a solo drive, this Torino is easy to enjoy. The big, wide instrument panel puts all the controls right in front of the driver, including the heat/defrost controls and the factory AM radio that's still on display. And there are also nice upgrades that come with the sale, like a new trunk mat and a Bluetooth radio with upgraded speakers.
When you lift the hood, the unmistakable big blue block of a Ford V8 greets you. With the valve covers and air topper also dressed in bold blue, this is a true standout. But your're also attracted to this one by how fresh it looks, and that's no accident. There was an investment to rebuild this 302 cubic-inch V8 around 400 miles ago. So it looks just like the day it came out of the Atlanta factory. In fact, the Autolite carburetor is even date correct to fit in this car's timeline. But more than just getting it back to factory standards, the V8 was upgraded with a set of long tube headers to add power and rumble to this GT. And the investment didn't stop there. The whole front end has been upgraded with a new suspension with tubular A-arms, urethane bushings, and a thick sway bar. Plus, the transmission is now a four-speed automatic with highway-friendly overdrive. Add in power steering and front disc brakes, and this Torino coupe is the confident choice to drive near or far.
A great design, great upgrades, and a great price you're going to need to hurry if you want to take this one home. Call today!!!
