1954 Ford Fairlane

Cool coordinating colors inside & out, acres of bright chrome, and upgraded V8 power come together to deliver a stellar 1954 Ford Customline Club Coupe.
Those who know Fords love a Club Coupe. In '54 they were the rarest of the Customline, and the proportions give them the cool business coupe-like profile that always looks quite sporty. And this one takes that natural attraction and amplifies. For example, the original Killarney Green was matched to a modern metallic paint. The result is a period-correct hue, but now it has a miles-deep finish with a terrific luster. And to make sure the rest of the car was up to the new standard, there was a solid investment in brightwork to keep it mirror-like. That's an impressive feat, because there is a ton of it. You have the jet-inspired hood ornament, trim framing all the glass, factory hubcaps, the grille and front bumper that wrap around the edge, and so much more. And our favorite piece is the trim that runs the entire length of the car. Not only does it draw attention to the rear fender artistry, but also it highlights how straight the sheetmetal is.
Inside is a period-correct presentation with all the right upgrades. It starts with two-rows of seating that look fantastic in its multi-tone green. It gives you durable vinyl for the high traffic areas, and a comfortable green cloth for where you sit. And with well-coordinated door panels, carpeting, and dash to match this, it's a terrific full uniform presentation. Plus, you have nice subtle upgrades like the custom cup holder floor console finished in a matching green. And even the classic-style radio is really a more modern AM/FM tuner with auxiliary input. When you slip behind the wheel, the engine-turned panel and nifty speedometer that's lit from behind by a clear acrylic panel are clear indications that the iconic Thunderbird was on its way the next year. And the auxiliary gauges and column-mounted tach are a nice indication that some of that performance is already under the hood.
This was originally a six-cylinder coupe, but something this well presented deserves a V8. That's why it has been upgraded to a T-bird style 272 cubic-inch motor from 1955. The bold red block looks great thanks to classic Fenton aluminum valve covers. It runs cool thanks to the Champion aluminum radiator. And the V8 sounds throaty thanks to Red's Custom Headers feeding the dual exhaust. And if you remember the tach inside, you'll know that's for the three-on-the-tree manual transmission that also has overdrive. Are you starting to see how thoughtful this classic is? They even got an NSRA safety inspection so that you know the quality of this car goes beyond its cleanliness.
Complete with build receipts, this is a distinctive classic coupe that's been done exactly how you'd build it yourself. So you can skip ahead to the fun part and drive it how tomorrow. But the only way to do that is to call today!
