Description:

1969 Ford Thunderbird Suicide Door

1969 Thunderbird suicide door Landau barn find. Parked in dry storage since 1987 in a family member's estate. Runs well, the transmission works well, the brakes work etc. The accessories all function with the exception of the radio which was stolen by vandals. a 429 Thunderjet V8 backed up by an automatic transmission. Loaded with all the power accessories that Thunderbirds were known for back in the day. Since it was pulled from storage a couple of months ago I flushed the fuel system, replaced the fuel pump, the water pump, the fan belts, the upper radiator hose and some heater hoses plus gave it a points/plugs/condenser/rotor tune up. The body has minimal rust since it was kept in dry storage. The glass is all good with the exception of the windscreen which is cracked. The interior is in decent shape but needs a good steam cleaning after sitting in the building for 3 decades. It has just been vacuumed out so far. The Landau top is in nice condition. The odometer reads a little under 29,000 miles. We have no way to verify the accuracy of it since the owner passed away. With some new tires and minor mechanical work this would be a unique cruiser as is or it would make a really solid base for a project car. Buyer to arrange shipping.
