This 1957 Ford Thunderbird, project car, was started with good intentions, several years ago, but......."life happens" and it never got any farther than what you see in these photos. SO....,Now it has to be passed on to someone who will be able to finish the project.
The body and frame are very solid. The floor pans are rusty. The top is here, but it is in need of work.
As you can see from these photos, the original color is red, and the car has not been shot with a quick coat of primer to hide any issues. Just the opposite. You can see if you look at the photos, that there is not a lot of glass in this body.
The only thing that you can't see in the photos is the automatic transmission. I DO HAVE IT. Just didn't take any pictures of it. It is, as is, not rebuilt or clean. But it is here.
The motor on the other hand, has been completely rebuilt. Cost was over 4k. It is a 312 motor.And it is the one that came out of the T-bird. Don't know if it is numbers matching or not, couldn't find the numbers, got cold, went home. I will find them and list the numbers, in this posting, next week (early).
We can't find the old registration. So the car will be sold with a bill of sale. I got the numbers in the listing, off the frame.
This T-bird has always been stored here, in Rochester, NY, in our heated facility, which will be sold soon, so the car has to go. Maybe it will go to you?
