Description:

1979 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT Sport Utility 2-Door

Bought this Bronco in late '12. It was in decent shape but ran and handled terribly. From the best of my memory:
  • New Starter
  • New rear end differential (see pictures for email of purchase)
  • All new bushings including Radius Arm, track bar etc...
  • Many new bearings
  • Springs
  • Tires, probably have 1,000 miles at the very most on them.
  • Brakes are newish
  • Transmission and transfer case have been serviced
  • Modern headlights
The Bronco starts easily and runs well especially once warmed up. It rides extremely well, for an almost 40 year old Bronco. The wheels are original Ford Wagon Wheels that have been powder coated black. The center hubs are original. I may have replaced the fuel tank, but I know for sure that the fuel sending unit is new. It worked for a couple of months and then quit working. The spedo needle shakes but gives a good approximation of speed. I had the headlight bezels and grill LineX'd. Also, the fuel tank skid plate has been LineX'd.
Not entirely sure how many miles are on the truck. The odometer says 26,593 but 126,593 is probably within the realm of possibilities. The 4WD works very well.
There is a bit of rust here and there but nothing horrible. One picture shows the paint releasing where the spare tire carrier mounted to the tail gate.
Please feel free to ask any questions about this nice Bronco.
