1979 Ford F-350

Offering up for sale my 1979 ford F350 Ranger Trailer special..my nephew wanted it but that fell through..so I thought id give ebay a try to find her a home...it has the lariat trim package. 460/c6 combo. Originally out of southern california...no rust..not a salt belt truck. Ive had it for three years....done a lot to it..its a hobby truck...but i drive it alot in the summer..and i use it as a truck...trips to home depot and such...stored all winter in pole barn. Has 84,000 original miles. Ill start with the motor...when i got this thing it ran like crap...think it had been in mothballs for a while. I opted to remove all the california emissions crap..its now running with a edelbrock performer intake..holley 750 carb(new)..cloyes double roller "straight up" timing set...lokar kickdown cable..also over the last three years ive added new fuel pump..new water pump..coil...plugs..wires..dist cap..rotor..new power steering pump..new water pump.... tranny service with filter and fluid. It runs nice..i drive it alot...tried to keep it stock looking under the hood. As far as the interior goes...the carpet is new..the dash and glove box surround are new repops from dennis carpenter as the originals were tired. The dash cluster got a new lens..needle paint and some green leds for the dash lights..they are nice and bright at night but look stock...added a small tach neatly installed...has the retro sounds radio with aux input..original CB radio..left it in there...new heater core..new door speakers..new door weather stripping but the window sweeps are tired...no chips in the windshield...the door panels are repops..originals were cracked and cooked...I put the lariat inserts back into the new ones and added matching carpet bottoms but have the original map pockets. The dash was covered when i bought it with one of those dash shells from LMC...looks good...never bothered to remove it. Rear bench is in good shape..front bench has a little wear under drivers but but still looks good...like the look of the original. All electrics are in order..everything works right down to glove bx light. Few details ...cruise works..AC works...charged it when i first got truck...towards the end of this summer it was still cool but seemed like it possibly could have lost some of its coolness. When I got truck fuel gauge didnt work..I dropped front tank...it was shiny inside...added new fill tube. Gauge now works on front tank but does not indicate on rear..though it does work off of it as there is a new transfer valve. Just havent dealt with it..have a new filler tube for rear tank....front and rear glass rubber have new chrome bead strips. The body does have dings and doinks from almost 40 years of being used as a truck..was repainted at one time original color and it has some flaws...its not a laser straight museum pc...i was going to message it straight and repaint but decided i liked the patina. It still looks nice and i get thumbs up at the pumps but i Want to be clear on that. Has a flowmaster 40 series in place of stock muffler..new tonneau cover..side bed tool box has a new seal...has 2" receiver hitch and trailer brake controller .Please ask all questions and i will answer...dont want any problems...i cant think of everything...i will be happy to answer all questions...maybe more pics..thats fine too...love this old girl but time to move on...the caps and rings on the wheels now are NOS ones I bought...plus a set of NOS poverty dog dish caps come with it..thx...PS..3.73 rear end ratio(just fluid serviced as well)

wanted to add a few things...rear drum brakes have been done with all new shoes and hardware but i reused the drums...there are new calipers on the front..pads and rotors were in good cond..front and rear sway bars have been redone with all new red prothane components...had some questions on reserve price...my reserve price is $5500.00...its what i paid for truck three years ago...i realize you dont always get back what you put into these old timers...we do it for the enjoyment..if i can get that...rest is a plus. Might save some guys some time.
