Description:

1969 Ford Mustang Fastback

I have a Black 1969 Mustang Fastback for sale. I've owned it for over 12 years. The body was redone in 2004 with new partial floors and all new sheet metal except hood and roof. All the chrome and windshield was replaced back then too!
I will sell the car in 1 of 2 ways. There is really too much to list so I will try to keep it brief.
First off the car could use some slight body work and a paint job to be back in it's glorious form it was 13 years ago but it's still a very very sharp and mean car today! THE WINNING BIDDER GETS TO PICK OPTION 1 OR OPTION 2 FOR THE WINNING BID PRICE. Option 1 is the way it is right now. 8 years ago I built a 1970 351 4V Cleveland with 11.5 to 1 compression. It has a 518 cam in it which is very much ;like the stock 351 Cobra Jet engines had. It has a toploader 4 speed with Hurst shifter and front wheel line lock installed. I have a 5:88 posi 9 inch rear end in it so it will literally lift the front wheels off the ground. The 5:88 rear gears is what made option 1 needing engine work. 3 years back I was uuuuhhm messing around and missed 2nd gear. It made a very not nice sound of course! I removed the oil pan and found out I had spun #8 rod bearing. I put in all new rod bearings and the car still runs strong but the #8 rod journal on the crank is egg shaped and it will need the crank shaft repaired or replaced. It has a rod knock and it won't last very long if not repaired. This engine is a very rare and powerful engine so it's well worth replacing the crank shaft! Option 2 is that I replace the 351 Cleveland with a rebuilt 351 Windsor 4V with mild cam in it. I would then also take out the 5:88 posi 3rd member and put in something more drive-able. I would then put back on it the set of 15 inch magnum 500's with BFG white letter tires. These tires and wheels are pictyred in the last pictures. It then looks exactly like a Boss 429! I would leave the 4 speed in it.
The interior is very very nice in it. It has a stationary back seat in it and has every outside option available on it. This means factory rear window louvers/slats, rear spoiler/wing, front chin spoiler and pop open gas cap.
This is an H code 351 windsor 2 barrel car. It's not a Mach1 just a nice Fastback.
You would need to see it in person to judge for yourself but this is a very very solid and rust free car!
REMEMBER THE WINNING BIDDER PICKS OPTION 1 or 2. .
