1923 Ford Model T Dragster

If you have been searching fora truly unique and different hot rodto own and drive, then you have found it! What you are viewingis a professionally built 23 T Street Rod based on the Drag Car themes of the 1950s. Rather than build another ho-hum Chevy small block, the builder went the route of a specially built high performance Buick Straight 8. The engine is transfers power to the rear wheels via a performance built GM Power-glide Automatic Transmission. The rear end is a new Ford 8 " with 3.80 gears.
The more you look at this car, the more details you will notice. The front mounted Moon gas tank is the gas tank. It is also plumbed to a custom built 3.5 gallon tank almost hidden between the engine and frame rail on the passenger side. The engine was built to produce reliable, bullet proof performance and a lot of pizzazz. Everything is new. Super Bell, Pete & Jakes, Hallibrand, Coker, etc. The car has been wired for lights, turn signals, brake lights, instrumentation, etc. Yes that is a real Vertex Magneto and it is wired for function also. Custom made 4x2 intake with 4 Ford 94s. Custom built headers.
The car has never been started or driven. It is very near to completion and needs just about a weekend worth of your time to complete. You will notice that in keeping with the Dragster theme, there is no radiator in the front. That is because there are custom made cooling pipes that will connect to a rear mounted aluminum radiator under the louvered rear deck lid via an electric inline fuel pump and thermostat.
The Buick Straight 8 Engine started life as a 1948 Fireball, it was cleaned, tumbled and magni-fluxed prior to rebuilding. Bored 30 over, Venolia forged pistons, custom built Hudson connecting rods, balanced forged crankshaft, head ported, large Chevy valves, new guides, decked and milled to 10:1 compression, rebuilt stock rockers, Vertex magneto, new timing gears, new bearings, special flywheel (to adapt to the power-glide) new fuel pump, and more.
Look at this car, itattracts more attention than most folks can handle. You will need to install an alternator, install a rear mounted radiator and plumbing, install a battery ( the tray is in the rear under the deck) set the timing, add gas and start and tune the engine.
The body is fiberglass. Please look closely at the pictures. We are listing only once here on eBay. Dare to be Different! No one will have anything close. Yes we have a "Clear 1923 Ford Title"
