There is a term I use frequently, those who know me understand the term. In describing the car of the hour I will say, "It is a _____ ft car". It could be a 5, 10,15, 20 or 50 foot car. Let me tell you, never, never have I ever used a 0, in the term of "It is a 0' car", again ZERO foot car. You will find over 175 photos that will support what I am saying. There are photos that show individual panels, maybe 3'x3' square. You may think I am trying to show you something. I am in fact, I am trying to show you next to perfect paint job. No runs, no dirt, no scratches, rock chips. Just very smooth. Ever try to put on paper something words just can not discribe. Ever take a photo of that something special, and you try to take it from every angle with the best camera and it just doesn't reproduce what your eye sees? Very frustrating indeed isn't it.

Well, your about to witness this euphoric experience. Now, I have talked about the finish. That's one thing. Lets talk about the metal dash and metal frames around the windows. Please take a close look at the wood finish. The artist had outstanding ability to make this dash look like it is real wood. It is only by lightly tapping on the dash or window frame you will discover it is the original medal from the factory. Lets address the fabric on the seats, the doors. All note all the hardware, i.e. the door handles inside and out, are either original or replaced with the best replacements. Trying to get the depth of the paint finish was a challenge to get you to see what the camera sees. Again, of the highest quality and labor was intense and not inexpensive. No funds were spared to make sure this car met the highest of standards. While you are looking at details, lets pay special attention to the stainless hinge screws for the doors and the stainless pins in the hinge. Notice how all the screw heads are lined up perfectly. I could go on and on and still wouldn't be able to do the car justice or paint you the picture of what I see. You must experience the visual part it in person yourself.

Engine: 1950 Cadillac 331 cu. inch 130 H.P. Came from an ambulance on Geiger Airforce base in Spokane, Wa. Cadillac 3 carburetor intake using center carb only. Brice Thomas aluminum radiator. Rebuilt water pump included. Serial same on frame and transmission. New bearings, seals and gaskets installed. Fort Wayne Indiana clutch/pressure plate installed. Flywheel/pressure plate/disc balanced. Rear-end: Speedway Motors 3.54 ring/pinion installed with new bearings and gaskets. Stock '46/'48 ford brakes. Drums turned with new lining. Stock rebuilt original shocks. Front-end: New tie rod ends, SSBC Royal King Pin Set (needle bearings). Chassis Engineering tube shocks and sway bar. M/T front brakes. Includes loaded backing plates and drums. Body: The paint is White Chocolate three stage (color, pearl, clear) P,3C. It's a 2007-2009 ford color. Copy of formula is included. All new shaded glass. The instruments converted to 12 volts and work properly. Also, the face of the instruments are original to the car. Complete Lebaron & Bonney interior/trunk. Trunk lid has two Mr40's trunk lifts (gas shocks). Optima 12 volt battery in trunk. Battery cutoff switch under drivers seat. Welding cables used from battery to engine. New Bob Drake grille, front and rear bumpers & bumper guards. Diamond Back Classic radials 205/75/15 front, 225/75/15 in back. Red powder coated rims by Les Schwab. New running boards. Ford Motor Company introduced its De Luxe Ford line in 1938 as an upscale alternative to bridge the gap between its base model (usually called Standard)[3] and luxury Lincoln offerings. The "Deluxe" name was used intermittently before and after this to specify an upscale trim, but the De Luxe Ford line was differentiated as a separate "marque within a marque" with separate styling and pricing through 1940. During 1939, Ford had five lines of cars: Ford, De Luxe Ford, Mercury, Lincoln-Zephyr, and Lincoln. After the war, this was simplified to Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln. The 1941 Ford line included "De Luxe" and "Super De Luxe" trim, but these vehicles were not marketed as a separate line. As Mercury sales progressed, the De Luxe approach was cancelled.

This marketing approach was in response from the different General Motors brands, (Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Chevrolet), and the Chrysler brands, (Chrysler, DeSoto, Dodge, and Plymouth).

The De Luxe Fords of 1938 featured a more sloping hood and ornamental heart-shaped grille. This look was passed on to the standard line for 1939, as the De Luxe Fords gained sharp v-shaped grilles with vertical bars. The standard line once again inherited the De Luxe look for 1940, this time with body-colored vertical bars. The 1940 De Luxe Ford featured a three-part grille with horizontal bars.
