1984 Ford Mustang Convertible

This is a beautiful 1984 Mustang convertible. It has been fitted with a 460 big block ford engine. This car looks factory and is a real sleeper with all the torque it has. The good is that the car looks great, and even took third place in a Mustang car show this year. The top is almost new, and it has been totally reupholstered by a professional. The paint looks great even up close. This car has been well built, and gets lots of attention at shows. The bad is that it has no radio (the rest of the stereo system is there), a crack in the top speaker grill, and a chip in the windshield. Sometimes when it is really hot the car will try to run hotter than normal. It does better in town and on state roads, than on the interstate. It hasn't been run hot, but prolonged highway trips are not ideal (it also uses a good bit of gas doing that as well). Every once and a while the car will get a little carburetor cough, but it doesn't get driven much anymore, due to other cars and a busy work schedule. It didn't do this when I drove it every week. I checked the timing and for vacuum leaks, and didn't find any, so I think it is just because it isn't getting driven as much as it used to. You may also want to put new front tires on it within the next year or so depending on how you drive it. The struts, lower ball joints, and strut mounts were all replaced this year. The car rides really well. The AC and cruise control were also removed to make room for the huge engine. I don't know how hard they would be to add if you wanted them. This is a true American hot rod, but it looks like Ford built it. Almost all of the parts used are Motorcraft, and it makes for a really interesting car. This car is kept indoors and is clean. If you like cars you will enjoy this one. I have had a lot of fun with this car, and know one car believe what lurks beneath the hood. I have just decided that I need to reduce the size of my collection to focus on other projects. You are welcomed and encouraged to come see the car, check it out, and ask any questions you have.
