Selling for a friend a 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible. Same owner for over 39 years stored inside a climate controlled space.It is powered by the original 289 "C" code 2V power plant. Shifting is thru a Cruise -o- Matic C4 dual range automatic original transmission. No A.C., P.S. or disc brakes.
It has the original floor console. Comes with a power convertible top that functions as it should only needing an isinglass rear window. Black Very Nice original standard interior with no rips or tears. Good carpet and padded dash.
Built in San Jose CA, this Springtime yellow beauty is riding on 4 correct styled steel wheels and center caps with very good tires and drum brakes on all 4 corners.
Only replacement panel I could see are the floor pans that were replaced in the 1980's.It still has the original quarter panels, frame rails, frame extensions,trunk drops,inner fender aprons,and trunk floor sheet metal that carried her down the assembly line June 25th 1965 and DSO to Los Angeles CA. (Nice west coast origin). Repainted in the 80', the paint still is shiny and very nice. However there are a few chips in the paint.
Best note on this classic is it is RUST FREE. Also the odometer clock shows only 56783 miles. Believed to be original mileage.The gauges,turn signals,radio,wipers and all lights work as they should. The horn does not work.
Glass is free of cracks and all the 4 windows roll up and down perfectly.Original owners manual is still in the glove box.New battery in April 2017. Newer dual exhaust, re-chromed bumpers and tail light bezels. Runs Great with just a bit of a rough idle. Runs out great from idle upward on the RPM scale.
