Description:

1965 Ford Mustang

1965 Mustang Convertible with the very rare FactoryACode Option and 4 speed (289 4 Barrel, 225 HPEngine). Less than 72000 miles onthis beauty. This is a real deal factory ACode, NOT one of the lesser horse power enginesconverted to a 4 barrel. Plus this is a factory 4 speed and whitemanual drop top. Awesome and rare combination. The convertible top is in excellent condition with a clear rear window. The door hinge area, trunkfloor, shock towers, fenders, doors, trunklid, cowl, and tops of quarters are all rustfree original metal. The cowl, door hinge area, latch area, and the area in the front of the trunk areall solid original metal. This is very importantwith these cars because these areas are proneto rot and are integral support areas.
Brand new wheels compliment the factoryVintage Burgundy Metallic paint color andblack Pony interior with white inserts. Thewhite top and white wall tires set off theexterior. New (correct) leaf springs havejust been installed and the car rides at theperfect factory height without the need forextra springs or helpers, just the way Forddesigned it. Also recently installed is apower brake conversion, and a power steeringconversion. This gives the steering a muchnicer feel. All the bulbs have been replacedin the dashboard if you want to do some nightdriving. The 4 speed shifter is new for aprecise and accurate feel when going throughthe gears. Newer clutch and radiator. Theconsole and plate were also replaced when thenew shifter was installed.
The interior looks great! No issues with theseats, carpets, door panels, or dashboard. Anew wood steering wheel has just beeninstalled complete with new horn button. Alsonew is the chrome air cleaner assembly.
The engine runs great and has lots of power.Sounds great through the dual exhaust with anice mellow rumble. The carb had beenreplaced at some point and the engine now hasan Edelbrock carb on it with a manual choke.
What is so nice about this car is that youcan feel it has never been torn apart andrebuilt. Sure, there are replacement parts onthe car but it has never been ripped apartdue to major rust repair or an accident andyou can feel the difference when you drive acar like this. If you need any otherinformation just ask.
