1980 Ford Other

1981 Ford Durango car/truck. This was designed by Dick Nesbitt while he worked at Ford Motor Company as a potential Ranchero replacement. Supposedly, no more than 212 of these were ever built. They took a Ford Faimont Futura and grafted a fiberglass pick up bed on it. Mine has a V8--only one I have ever seen like that--supposedly all came with 200 cubic inch 6 cylinders. This car is very solid--drives great. It has a 302 with PS/PB/AC. We replaced the AC compressor and coolant and had it freezing cold but the dryer went out so that now needs to be replaced. It has almost new tires and has had recent front end, brake, and exhaust work (duals). The battery may be weak but I rarely drive it so cannot say for sure. It will hold a charge overnight. Drives great. Needs cosmetics. Some of the paint is dull. Few dents and no real rust that I can see. Grille has a crack in it as does RH taillight. Aftermarket radio with removable faceplate. Aftermarket gauges. Fuel gauge doesn't work. Interior needs some work--seat upholstery and dashpad. Seatbelts are stained. Otherwise, everything seems to work really well.

Car runs/stops/drives like it should. Sounds good. Would make a good daily driver that you won't see yourself coming and going, or restore, or hot rod with a mustang front clip to make a "Mustchero!"

That's about all I can tell you about it. Low reserve. I have about $8K in this thing so will be losing money to sell it. 'm in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and would be glad to work with your shipper.
