Description:

1970 Ford Torino

For Sale is my 1970 429 Cobra Jet, Ram Air, 4 Speed Top Loader. This is a nice running and driving car that is registered and I drive it at least weekly around town or local show. It is a driver as is and people love the patina that's displayed, instead of new paint. Yes it's drivable, but I wouldn't drive it to California. It's a plain just the way I like it...no Power Steering or Power Brakes. It has original style Cobra Bucket seats, but this is a true bench seat car. The Marti report didn't come out too good in pic but I have a pic of a clear Georgia title and Marti Report that I can send serious buyer's cell phone along with more pics. Please...only bid if you can follow through with the purchase. Drive while you restore. See below for specifics about the car. For serious inquiries only please contact Dan at 315-813-3307. I have a few more pics also.

ENGINE: I bought the Cobra as a matching numbers car; however, I can't verify it. I was informed by someone since I had it that it was 4 bolt main and solid lifters. If this is the case then it's not matching numbers but a SCJ engine. Either way the engine runs awesome with no issues at all. The new Holley Carb is not original but I do have the original quarajet carb disassembled and in a box. It will be included in the sale. As you can see it has upgraded Mallory electronic ignition. The ram air shaker base is not 100% correct for this Cobra nor is assembled properly on the vehicle although I still drive it like this. The major pieces are there but some minor hold down brackets, snorkel and a few other items are needed to make the shaker functional. People love talking about it though.

TRANS: Four Speed Close ration Manual transmission runs and shift great (See Marti Report).

REAR END: Traction Lok Differential (See Marti Report)

WHEEL TIRES: Brand New "made in the USA" 15x7 Chrome keystone wheels, with Futura GLS Super Sports 235/60/15 tires made by Cooper Tires.

Interior: Front and rear Door panel in Great condition just need cleaning;dash pad all cracked but car comes with new dash cover;metal dash in great shape and not all cut up; no radio; floors in overall solid condition minus some surface rust and a few pin holes here and there. A couple nickel size hole in frt passenger side floor.

BODY: The car is overall very solid with a few minor dings here and there. It shouldn't need any panel replaced but just worked by the body man. The car is yello and any brown spots is surface rust only. The only exception is around the rear tail panel lights/and lip area. I had a piece cut off another Cobra and will go with the car if requested (hard to come by). Both rear quarters and front fenders are solid with a ding here or there. Trunk is solid but need minor attention under left side of trunk, New gas tank and and trunk sides, etc... is solid. The hood is not original but I do have the ring and "new screws" that go around the shaker opening ring on the hood. The rear window louvers are an added bonus and appears to have probably been on the car since the 70s just probably need adjusting and repainting.

The car was running when I bought it; however, below are some of the things I had the local Classic car repair Shop do to the car to make it safe and nicer to drive. I have all receipts.
