Description:

1937 Ford Other Pickups Base

1937 Ford pickup project. Started life as a 1.5 ton truck that I put on a 1935 pickup frame and added a 1935/36 pickup box to as well. Frame was rusty so I cut out the rust on my frame jig and replaced the metal and boxed it in the rear where the rust was. Also flattened the rear crossmember at that time. Transmission is a 1933 Ford car that shifts through the gears fine. Engine is a 1937 21 stud that is locked up. Just used the engine and transmission for a mock up. Front and rear axles are 1935 units along with the wishbones. Rolls and steers. Has a 1935 Ford car steering column and banjo steering wheel in place. This pickup has probably the nicest 1937 grille I will ever find in my life and hate to let that go. The hood has some waves on the top and a couple bars cut out on the drivers side by the cowl for some reason. The cab is pretty nice. Doors open and latch great but there is some dings on the roof from being a farm truck and there is rust in the windshield header area. Rockers, cab corners, subrails, dash are all nice. Gauges are there but it has the wrong glovebox door for some reason. Box was a really rough box that I straightened as best I could and put angle iron subrails in place and tacked it to the frame in the proper location. Passenger side of the box has a fair amount of rust in the lower section. $500 deposit within 48 hours of end of auction. I can store for 90 days until buyer arranges shipping.
