Description:

1956 Ford Thunderbird

1956 Ford Thunderbird ConvertibleVery sought after beautiful car!!!!This car doesn't need much of an introduction. This car has been in the family since purchased brand new in 1956.Just the history of this car alone is absolutely incredible.
Our 1956 Ford Thunderbird comes with the original removable hard top with factory portholes. The Convertible top stores nicely behind the seat and I would say is about three years old ( one of the things we had replaced)
Mechanically you will find that the car runs and drives excellent as it should. We replaced the carb with a brand new original tea-kettle carb. This gets up and goes with its powerful 312 V8. This car has no lack of power with its smooth automatic transmission. We also had an air condition system professionally installed which will keep you super cold for your daytime driving pleasure if you so desire.
The interior was redone and as you can see from the photos is perfect. It has new convertible top which nicely stores behind the seat and also the original metal porthole hard top which is original to the car.
The car was recently serviced and has a fresh tune up.
There is a beautiful continental wheel and dual exhaust which flows through the rear bumper.
The wheels are true spoke Kelsey Hayes Wire Wheels and the tires are Coker while whites which are better than 80%.
The car has power windows, power seats, telescopic steering wheel, the original swing out vent windows along with an updated am/fm radio that fits perfectly into the original radio spot ( we do have the original radio to go with the car along with a whole box of spare parts for the car).
The chrome is excellent throughout the car.
There are a few minor blemishes on the exterior of the car here and there as you would expect with any car of this age. The photos do this car no justice. It is a turn key garage kept beauty.
Now at my age it is time to start letting go.
The winning bidder will not be disappointed with this gorgeous piece of history.
