Description:

1931 Ford Model A

A recent home purchase, and loss of a garage to store our other 3 cars is the reason I am selling my totally awesome 1931 Ford Model A Roadster. This started its life as a cabriolet in 1931 but has grown into a very well put together hot rod built in the traditional style.
All rebuilt and gone through professionally by the guys at Exiledin Orange County. Currently running a 283 V8 out of a 66 Chevy Corvette with a 10 bolt rear end and 700R transmissionwith overdrive. Engine has performance cam, puts out about 250 HP which makes a light little car like this move. The engine was rebuilt about 4000 miles ago.
Lake style headers have recently been ported, capped and run into a custom exhaust system running two 40 series flow masters. This way, you dont die from CO poisoning as you look cool driving down the street - but it is stillloud, but not 'neighbors hate me' loud.
32 Ford Model B grill and custom international cowl give this car a unique look and the ability to run the Lake headers without a full open engine bay. Classic, new Firestone bigs and littles with maybe 500 miles on them put the power to the pavement. Body is an origional steel 31. Deck lid is custom. The giant V8 on the back is vinyl.
5 inch drop gives the thing a great stance but still stays true to traditional rodding lines - not high, not slammed, just right. Still running transverse springs etc. 11 Gallon fuel tank in trunk with battery and cut off.
2 bomber seats, carpet, door panels, working lights in and out, door latches and a custom 38 dash make the car a totally finished driver. There are pin striped accents through the car including dash, club sign and on the hood. Car is a custom patinagrey over brown, hand sanded. Minimal surface rust on windshieldhousing is about all you will fine. Under car, z'd frame etc is all clean and new.
Recent work includes:
New king pings and bearingsNew customexhaustNew value coversSteering box rebuildNew front shocks
I drove this car from LA to San Diego TODAY. It needs nothing to cruise around in, runs at about 170 degrees all day long in traffic. However, like all good 90 year old cars, this will probably kill you some day. Manual breaks, a 38 Tudor steering box a car that weights 1500 LBS etc makes for lively but livable driving.
If you want to get laid by hot girls who love cars, if you want kids to scream you name when driving through the neighborhood, if you want people to know how big of a bad ass you are. You need this car. Its about as good as a 31 can get without being a full mint resto which would run you 2x what I am asking for this one. Come pick it up in So Cal - otherwise, I am happy to ship to wherever you are at your expense. Open to partial trades for early 70's late 60's Mopar
