I took way more pictures than I can list with this posting. I could go on for hours describing this super clean and super super RUST FREE 1966 Mustang Coupe so I'm going to just try to keep this listing short and sweet!First off, the only and I do mean the ONLY rust that is present and that has ever been present on this 1966 Mustang are the small bubbles in the lower front corners of both doors. That is the only rust this car has or has ever had ! This car has never ever had any rust repairs and never any collision repairs ! It has all original body panels on it and has only been repainted once in it's life ! It was repainted the original color of Light Blue and had the original vinyl top replaced. I have no idea when these two things were done all I know is that it was done many many years ago. The body has a small area on the drivers fender that obviously scraped the garage opening or something and I can tell that the hood must have not been latched once and I can see that it opened up while driving. The damage it caused is not bad at all but I do notice it. The average person may not even notice it. The rear bumper has a slight bow in the middle and a new rear bumper would be a nice improvement and is a very cheap item to replace. The door tag is intact and reads as follows :: the warranty number is of course the vin number of 6R07A10355, the body code is 65B (Hardtop Luxury bucket seat interior, Color F ( Light Blue, Trim 62 ( Blue and White Luxury , Date 01J ( Sept 1st 1965 , DSO 74 ( Salt Lake , Axle 1 ( 3:00-1 , Trans 5 ( 4 speed manual ) . In addition to the info shown there this car also has WORKING factory air conditioning, factory 4 speed short console for the A/, dual exterior mirrors, factory all new power steering. Brand new WILWOOD front disc brakes and cylinder, new radiato, new distributor and new battery . It also has a non-original trunk luggage rack that really does look very nice in my opinion. I'm sure I'm forgetting something but remember I'm trying to keep this short which is hard to do for a car like this! The only items that I feel would need replacing or repairing is the left engine exhaust manifold is cracked and the mufflers are blown out. I would assume the new owner would want to install headers and mufflers so the 351 Windsor could vent the exhaust more efficiently anyhow. Its so cool how nicely the 351 Windsor fills up this engine bay! But maybe you want to go back to an original 289 4 barrel I don't know. The awesome part is that whoever do the swap over to the 351W did make all the options fit like factory! I'm talking about the air conditioning and power steering. They got all correct pulleys and brackets! No extra grooves or mickey mouse spacers! The power steering pump and all the components are new including all tie rods etc but the power steering doesn't seem to work well. I think they have the lower small hoses reversed? Also the factory original 4 speed shifter needs the bushings replaced and the clutch pedal and brake pedal assembly should have the bushings replaced. This is just common wear items and isn't expensive to do at all. I also noticed the left backup light doesn't work. It's amazing that one even works at all since nobody ever maintained those items! All other lights and gauges work as they should! It is missing a radio antenna so the cassette radio stereo in it doesn't work. This car started life in Utah and then Arizona before it ended up in Minnesota. It only was in MN as a collector car and never ever driven in any bad elements. It only came to MN 2 years ago so don't worry about any rust issues though is has a MN title. Anyhow while in AZ it had an alarm system installed that would go off if a door or hood or trunk was opened. I however have no idea how to use it or if it's even hooked up. It's all there though with the brain box for it still in the trunk. So I'm going to stop there as I am starting to ramble on. LOL All in All this is a very very awesome and super super SOLID 1966 Mustang Coupe with very very RARE and desirable factory options! If you really feel that you need to talk more about it then my cell is 763-291-0343 or ask questions through the Ebay link so I can post the question and answer for everyone to see.
