Garrett Classics is proud to showcase this classic 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 Hardtop. This car was kept in Oklahoma for a number of years until it made its way here to the current Texas owner. Recent work includes rebuilt brakes front to back. Also the engine compartment was detailed out, the fuel pump and water pump replaced. The red interior was changed to red with gray inserts to the owner's wife's preference. This is a good solid driver in a hard to find '66 model year Galaxie 500 Hardtop. Enjoy our presentation and feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions.
The paint was redone in CandyApple Red with a White top. The paint and body are in good condition throughout, with some minor imperfections. The doors, hood, and trunk align correctly. The original wheels were changed out in favor of these classic 15-Inch American Racing wheels with gray spokes. (You can click on any of the photos for access to a full photo album of this Galaxie!)
Under the hood is the original optioned 390 2bbl. V8. The private owner just had several things done including the water pump replaced, fuel pump replaced, and engine compartment fully detailed. The firewall, inner fenders, and core support retain the original sheetmetal throughout.
Open the doors to 1966. The door panels are in good condition and door undersides are solid.
The interior is factory with exception of the custom upholstery with gray inserts done in factory style. The car was originally ordered with full red interior. It was altered due to the owner's wife preferring less red. Also check out the custom tuck n roll rear interior panel that matches the seat inserts. The side panels appear to be original and there is some splitting in the seams on the driver's side panel by the back seat.
The dash is in good shape and complete with factory gauges
The undercarriage appears to be exceptionally solid as well, this has always been a dry climate car.
The door rubber is old and appears original. The door undersides are solid. The trunk shows well and appears to be solid throughout along with the trunk's drip rail and inner quarters, trunk flooring.
Enjoy our remaining photos and again feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions.
