1965 Ford Mustang Fastback
1965 mustang fastback that has been one family owned since new. This car was built in California and spent all of its life in the salt free upstate of South Carolina. This car was pulled from a dry storage this spring where it has sat since 1995. The gentleman that I bought the car from had gotten it from his grandmother as his first car. Time has passed and his desire to fix the car did too. This car has been beat and banged through the years but is not rusty at all. The only rust that I have seen is on the front fenders (both have been replaced through the years from another car). The frame rails, lower qaurters, rockers, are clean. The floor pans will need minor patch work, but you could get by without replacing them if you wanted. The passenger qaurter skin has a pretty good amount of damage from a crash in the past,I would recommend replacing this qaurter skin. The pass front fender will need a patch on the lower corner. The original Vins are all in place, and the door tag is still there. All of the interior is there, it comes with 2 new door panels/arm rests and new red carpet (not installed). This car does run and drive decent, it has a remanufactured 289 4 barrel engine and a T5 5 speed transmission installed in it. This car fires up and runs good as soon as you hit the key, it will need exhaust work as right now it is open headers. It has good brakes, and has a very dependable drivetrain. This car needs a complete restoration, but it is a very nice starter car over the rusty ones that are left. Clean clear title in hand from the grandson of the original owner, dated 12-15-1994. This is an old car that needs restored, it's not perfect but it's a nice start. I'm open to show the car in person if you are close. I can assist in shipping the car as well. 864-606-9600. This car is pictured on the race wheels, THEY ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS AUCTION!!! The car will come with rolling wheels, these can be bought for an additional $750 by the winning bidder. This car has not been washed since the early 90's, what you see is what it is. I have no reserve on this auction, please be prepared to buy if you bid. Thanks!
