1991 Ford Taurus Plus

History: I purchased car in Feb 2004 with 129,790 miles. Currently shows almost 144,940. Car has always been stored outside, ot garaged. I am the third owner. Car comes with the window sticker and owners manual. Car has PA classic tags since my ownership. This has always been a good reliable car for me and deserves a better life than I can give it.

Awards: None, owever this is an original Plus. One of 900 in Deep Jewel Green. Car is original and retains all the Plus parts.

Options: Package 212 which includes high level audio, loor mats, lluminated entry, uto lamp, oon roof, ower antenna, BL audio, lectronic climate control, eyless entry, ual power seats and clear coat paint.

Exterior: The clear coat has failed and is gone on the upper surfaces. The wheels are the original 1991 only Canadian slicers with plain caps. The rear rockers are rusted through. The dog leg inside the rear doors is rusted through. The inner door seams and trunk seams have the typical rust. And there are various surface rust spots on the body.

Interior: Interior is Mocha cloth. It needs a good cleaning. The headliner is failing at the rear. It retains the original stereo. All is functional but the sound is weak. Amp is inoperative. Rear speaker covers are perfect. Interior needs a good cleaning. Air bag lamp has recently started to flash. The temp gage is inoperative. Probably the sender. And the front passenger window is slow.

Mechanical: The mechanicals of the car are in great condition. The car is fun to drive. Mufflers are Flowmasters and has a deep rumble. The struts are Tokico with stock springs. Every thing works as it should, owever the AC clutch needs replaced and the cruise is inoperative. It will need an upper 60K soon as oil is seeping into the plug wells but it drives fine otherwise. Lower 60K was performed 2,000 miles ago. Rod shifter is stock. I’ve always used Castrol synthetic oil. Has a newer battery.

Conclusion: I’m getting married and do not have time for all my cars and projects. I currently have eleven vehicles. I have decided to reduce the herd so I can concentrate on my three main projects. My 1968 Cougar resto-mod, y 1988 RX7 convertible with a SHO 3.0 and my 1997 Ranger with SHO 3.0. I have been into SHO’s since 2001. I deal in cars, sed parts and NOS parts. Kevin @ MRE-SHO.
