Description 1935 Ford V8 Pickup
Listed on behalf of Monte Shelton
Located in PORTLAND, OREGON
This 1935 Ford V8 Pickup underwent a professional frame-off restoration 2 years ago by the pros at Hot Rod Dream Works in Oregon. No expense was spared. The results are absolutely spectacular.
Body removed from frame and stripped to bare metal. Repainted in correct "Coach Maroon" color with black fenders. The body and paint work is true show quality throughout. Flawless straight panels with mirror-finish paint as seen in the photos. No doubt better than when it left the Ford factory. Hundreds of hours went into making this truck a standout. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS. Custom tan upholstery wraps the inside of the cab. New classic instruments gauges. Vintage heater. All electrical converted to 12 volt for fast starting. Lightly tinted glass. All window mechanisms rebuilt, including the crank-out windshield. Insulated interior is quiet and comfortable. Bright 12 volt turn signals wired through the headlights and dual tail lights. Gorgeous gleaming solid oak truck bed. Never used and in perfect condition.
Mechanically, EVERYTHING was done to give this truck modern reliability, while retaining the stock original Ford engine and drivetrain. Fully and correctly rebuilt 85 HP V8. Modern 12 volt alternator. Stock 3-speed manual transmission with floor shifter, as original. Upgraded to HYDRAULIC BRAKES. Radial tires wrap the Ford wire wheels. Two automatic, thermostarically-activated 12-volt parade fans in front of the radiator assure cool running in any weather or traffic. Single exhaust, as original. I have personally driven this truck and it is a real pleasure. Runs, drives and shifts perfectly. Excellent clutch and brakes. Geared for highway speeds in the 60 mph range. JUST 600 MILES SINCE RESTORATION. I cannot imagine it being any better.
As mentioned above, nearly $60,000 went into this restoration (not counting the original cost of the truck.) If you are looking for the best of both worlds - a show-quality pickup that looks stock, stands out on the show field yet can be driven anywhere, this is it! The perfect truck to advertise your business or farm, or just for trips to the local hardware store and around town. It draws a crowd wherever it goes.
A reserve has been placed on this truck, WELL BELOW the cost of restoration. Someone is going to get a bargain.
