1967 Ford Mustang --

1967 Mustang Convertible C code 289. Same owner last 40 years. Originally from Colorado and has been in Tucson since the mid 80's. One repaint about 25 years ago and is badly faded. Body is overall straight and solid with no major previous damage detected. Front inner fender wells are very nice, as well as under front fenders. Floors will need replacement in areas as there are a few small holes and thin spots due to a leaky top years ago. All of the subrails and structural areas are very solid. We powerwashed the undercarriage down to the original red oxide primer. The drivers side lower quarter panel was replaced years ago and it was patched in poorly. Passenger inner rocker had rust and was just filled with bondo. There is evidence of some previous bodywork by the drivers side taillight and a small bubble on drivers front bottom of door and lower fender. None of this needs to be repaired to be a safe driver, but would be easily redone if a restoration of the car is performed. Chrome and stainless is nice driver quality with minimal wear from age. Top was replaced about 5 years ago and is in great shape. Interior was replaced about 20 years ago and only shows minimal wear. Overall pretty decent. The 289 has never been rebuilt but has been well maintained over the years. This car has always been driven. Upgraded with a new carburetor and headers. Optioned with power steering and a power top. The drivers side rear window regulator does not work and will need to be repaired. I can feel the regulator going up and down so it might just need some new plastic rollers installed. Great car for restoration and a nice driving car as-is.
