Description:

1963 Ford Falcon

I bought this very rare shell of a car with no engine and trans back in 1999 with the intention of making a RestoMod car. The plan was to cut the top off and make it a convertible wagon, sort of like the Monkee Mobile...It was gonna be a really cool 302 powered hot rod. It was originally fitted with a 170 cu. in. straight 6 and 2 speed Fordomatic automatic trans.
From the ID plate on the driver side door...Body is 59A (2-door station wagon), Color is M (Corinthian White), Interior Trim 54 (Light Beige Crush Vinyl and Medium Beige Thong Striped Cloth), Date of Mfg. 02L (November 2, 1962), DSO 72 (DISTRICT CODE (DSO) - District 72 = San Jose), Axle Code 5 ( 3.50:1 non locking differential ), Trans 3 (Fordomatic (2 speed) Automatic), ASSEMBLY PLANT CODE R (San Jose), ENGINE CODE U (170 Cu Inch Inline 6), Out of all the 1962's produced at the San Jose, CA assembly plant, this car was the 19972th car built there.
Well...Life stuff seemed to get in the way of my epic project, and here she sits waiting to get done. It's time to let her go to a loving home with the time and resources to create your vision. Restore...Hot Rod...RestoMod...GreenRod. Lots of possibilities.
Most all the pieces are present except the engine and trans. Bumpers, grille, headlight housings, replacement glass, window cranks, an extra front left fender, seats. All in pretty rough shape, but stored in the back of the car. Amazingly, the doors open and close cleanly, so the uniframe is pretty straight.
Ford only produced about 2500 of this particular model, the 2-door wagon, so it is indeed a rare car.
I'm selling my home to downsize and will no longer have the room to work on, or store it. I never registered the car, but I do have the State of California Certificate of Title from the previous owner. Last registration was 1994. Obviously, a trailer will be needed to haul her away.
The car must be moved by May 30, 2017.
Thanks for your interest.
