1978 Ford Mustang
Up for auction is 1978 King Cobra Mustang II. I purchased this car several years ago with the intention of a "father son" project, but the son changed his mind when I came home with a late model GT. There is one simple reason I bought this car, it is completely original (except Motorsport valve covers added years ago). It is also a rust free and original paint survivor. It carries all its original tangerine interior and its Lacy wheels. The odometer shows 61,000 miles and I'm sure it is actually 161,000. The rarity of the car comes from the fact that it is a factory T-top car. It has factory A/C, and rear window defrost. The "buck" tag is in place also! A car of this age also comes with issues related with age. The car starts, runs, shifts but to be road worthy it needs several key items replaced. The fuel tank holds only a small amount of fuel die to a pin hole in the side. The power brake booster has a massive vacuum leak, and the tires definitely n Ed replacing. The engine runs extremely good and appears to have never been out of the car. The car is a true time capsule and is truly 1978! The wild color combination and tangerine interior are extremely desirable. The car is only missing the original valve covers and battery hold downs. The battery heat shield is in place though. I encourage anyone that is truly interested to come see for yourself. Any questions you have, I will be glad to answer. It is located 30 miles west of Atlanta.
