We are pleased to offer this 1968 Mustang Custom. This is truly an absolutely beautiful resto-mod that was rotisserie frame off restored and assembled with meticulous care and attention to detail. It has only approximately 1,000 miles on it since the restoration so it is still very fresh and new. The show quality Cadillac Escalade Pearl White three stage paint shines perfectly. While it was on the rotisserie, the frame was powder blasted to get rid of any possible rust spots and antirust Rhino Lining material was sprayed all inside and underside of the car. The engine compartment was fabricated and shock towers removed to accept the rebuilt 1975 Chrylser big block 440 cubic inch V8. A Mustang II power rack and pinion with outside coil over springs and shocks were added. The carburetor is a 650 Edelbrock sitting on an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and has a medium Thumper Cam. The transmission tunnel was altered to accept the Chrysler 727 automatic transmission and was rebuilt at the same time as the motor. The headers are international chrome. The heads were shaved and heavy duty valves and springs and a new crank was installed. The ignition is a high output electronic MSD ignition system. The rear end is a Ford 308 limited slip and was rebuilt with new hubs and bearings and has traction bars and heavy duty leaf springs. A new complete wiring harness was installed to make sure there were no bugs in the electrical system. It has 4-wheel power disc brakes and the front end is a new Probuilt full rack and pinion suspension with power steering. The exhaust is stainless steel Flow Master dual pipe system. The car has new doors, new glass, new floors, new dash and cluster, new hood, new truck lid, new gas tank, new blacked out chrome all the way around, new front and rear glass, a Flaming River stainless steel tilt steering column and has a new headliner with pad. A sound deadener was installed on the inside floor of the car before the carpets were installed. This car can cruise very nicely on the highway at 2100 RPM at 65 MPH. The black leather interior adds the luxury touch. It has new tires with Mustang Cobra wheels. You won't find another Mustang like this. All receipts and documentation is included.
