1968 Ford Mustang Convertible

I am selling my 1968 Mustang Convertible. 93K original miles. Original Lime Gold and Black top and Black interior car. It has a 289, 2bbl, power steering, manual drum brakes that work good, power top, and a console. The car also has an after market period correct Panasonic Am/Fm that does not work, and also has a newer CD Am./Fm stealth stereo, but the CD portion does not work, but the radio does.I bought this car in 2005 and did a cosmetic Restoration on it in 2008. The car received new paint, interior( upholstery, carpet, door panels quarter trims and weatherstripping all the way around), new top, new top boot, new top cylinders and hoses. The engine was removed and all soft seals( front seal, rear main seal, oil pan, valve cover, front cover exhaust and intake gaskets) replaced along with the timing chain. The engine was painted and detailed as well as the engine compartment. The transmission received new front and rear seals. The engine transmission and rear end were not taken apart. The front end and steering components are original to the car, and still perform well. KYB gas shocks all the way around, and helper springs were on the car when I got it and i left them on. The windshield and passenger side glass is original, drivers door and quarter have been replaced with reproduction glass, looks the same just doesn't have the lettering. as original. All glass is factory tint, which is odd for a convertible. The paint is still in Great condition for being almost 10 years old, it still has no dings, dent, scratches or chips, just some small imperfections in the paint that would take you being within a foot or two to notice. These flaws were present when painted, and I can pick them out because I am a weirdo, but just wanted to state that. I have never had a stranger or passerby point something out to me, they are small small imperfections.I don't want to misrepresent this car, let the pictures speak for themselves. I will send more detailed pics of any area you wish, simply text me to the # below. This car is not a rattle trap. No squeaks or unusual noise, A good, solid, mostly original car. This car was and is a cream puff, I bought it with 90k miles in 2005 and used it as my getaway car in LasVegas when I got married in 2008( it did the 340 mile trip, there and back). I have put less than 3k miles in 9 years and all of them with the top down. It has never been driven in the rain since I have owned it and has been garaged every day as well. This is a fun car and turns heads wherever it goes.It is a dry California car. There is no rot. There is no rust. there is no major collision damage.Front rails are solid, no rust,, no rot. Rear rails are solid, no rust, no rot. Front and rear floor pans are solid, no rust, no rot. Left and right trunk pan and gas tank are soli, no rust, no rot. Absolutely no bubbles on or under the paint, I repeat ZERO bubbles. The one questionable place on the body is not from rust or rot is on the passenger rear lower quarter panel. On the bottom right rear, the vehicle was in a fender bender and the lower quarter, on the bottom that cant be seen has a half dollar size hole. Due to sanding for paint and a lack of paint coverage due to it being underneath the car there is a rust color that will probably need treated to keep it from getting wors, but in no means was it rusted or rotte, it was due to a dent and repair, and the water from washing the car gave it a rust haze color. What does the car need right now?To drive, Nothing. I drove it today. Put in a new battery today.Going forward, it does have a small power steering leak, that looks like its coming from the pump reservoir to pump seal. The torque converter does like to drain down when parked and not used for more than 3 or 4 months. Just need to drive it more regularlyThe top is brand new(2008) but was stored in the down position for years( i never drove with it up). As a result the rear glass seal has delaminated. the glass is two piece with a silicone seal, and the seal is cracked, and the top is wrinkled. I think if the top was laid open on a warm summer day the wrinkles will come out, but it will need a new sail panel and glass for the top, or drive it with the top down like I did.The tires have great tread but are old and would be wise to replace if planning any long trips more than around town.Registered and Insured Title in hand.If you need more or clearer pictures of any areas on the car please call or text to (805) 732-3273Or to ask any questions related to this car, or to see the car ion person.give me a call. Thanks Bryan
