Description:

1979 Ford F-250 NO RESERVE!!

NORESERVE!! THIS 79 F250 4X4 IS A SOLID ORIGINAL WORK HORSE IN MOSTLY ORIGINAL PAINT OF THE HARD TO FIND ORIGINAL COLOR COMBO OF METALLIC SILVER WITH BLACK INTERIOR. IT WAS BUILT FOR THE SEATTLE AREA MARKET WHERE IT WAS BOUGHT NEW AT PIERRE FORD AND HAS SINCE REMAINED IN THE WASHINGTON STATE IT'S ENTIRE LIFE. IT CAME FACTORY ORDERED WITH 5.8 351 V8 2BBL T-18 4-SPEED TRANSMISSION 4.10 GEARS WITH LIMITED SLIP REAREND DELUXE CUSTOM EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR TRIM PACKAGES POWER STEERING AND POWER DISC BRAKES UP FRONT. ALL THE DRIVE TRAIN IS ORIGINAL ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE ORIGINAL CARBURETOR THAT WAS REBUILT WHEN THE ORIGINAL 351 MOTOR WAS GONE THROUGH. THE EXTERIOR BODY IS ALL THE ORIGINAL BODY PANELS TO THIS TRUCK EXCEPT THE HOOD THAT AT ONE TIME WAS REPLACED AND REPAINTED. MOST OF THE PAINT YOU SEE IS AMAZINGLY THE 36 YEAR OLD ORIGINAL SILVER EXCEPT WHEN THE HOOD WAS PAINTED THEY BLENDED IT AS MOST BODY SHOPS DO AND THE REST OF THE CAB FROM THE BODY MOLDING UP WAS REPAINTED SO MAINLY JUST THE COWL AND TOP OF CAB. THIS TRUCK IS WHAT I WOULD CALL A TRUE SURVIVOR THAT TO ME HAS A KILLER CLASSIC HIGHBOY STYLE LOOK AND STANCE THAT LITERALLY SHOWS WHAT IT HAS SEEN IN IT'S JOURNEY WITH SCARS AND MARKS YET KEEPS TAKING THE WORK AND DELIVERS AN OUTSTANDING DEPENDABLE TRUCK THAT STANDS TALL MECHANICALLY AND IS READY FOR MORE WORK. WE BOUGHT THIS 79 FROM KORUM FORD IN PUYALLUP WA LOCATED JUST SOUTH FROM SEATTLE WHERE IT WAS TRADED IN BY IT'S SECOND OWNER ON A ANOTHER GREAT CLASSIC A 1997 460 F250. THIS F250 DREW ME IN BECAUSE IT IS A VERY HONEST NO QUESTIONS TRUCK THAT LEAVES NO QUESTIONS UNANSWERED AND CLEARLY IS NOT HIDING ANYTHING. WHILE THIS F250 MAY NOT BE A SHOW TRUCK I LOVE THE WAY THIS TRUCK LOOKS TODAY AND WHAT THIS OLD GIRL MAY LACK IN BEAUTY IT MAKES UP FOR IN MUSCLE AS A WORKER AND WHAT MANY WOULD CALL A TRUE TRUCK. MECHANICALLY THIS CLASSIC BLUE OVAL RUNS LIKE A TOP AND DRIVES OUTSTANDING WITH THE REBUILT ORIGINAL 351 MOTOR THAT RUNS SMOOTH & PULLS STRONG FIRM CLUTCH WITH TIGHT 4-SPEED SHIFTING SMOOTH ENGAGING TRANSFERCASE SMOOTH AND FIRM BRAKES TIGHT FRONTEND & STEERING AND DELIVERS A DEPENDABLE AND FUN DRIVE. I HAVE HAD THIS F250 FOR NEARLY A YEAR AND INITIALLY PURCHASED IT WITH HOPES TO GIVE IT A FRESH COAT OF PAINT TO BRING BACK IT'S BEAUTY AND GIVE A CALL TO LMC TRUCK FOR SOME FRESH INTERIOR GOODS BUT AS TIME PASSED I ACTUALLY FELL MORE IN LOVE WITH THE WAY IT LOOKED WITH ITS ORIGINAL TOUGH LOOK AND HOW IT HAS STOOD THE TEST AND DECIDED TO LEAVE IT AS SHE IS AND HAVE USED IT FOR SEVERAL HAULS AND RUN ABOUT JOBS. I TRULY HOPE THAT THIS TRUCK WILL BE EITHER PRESERVED AND ENJOYED IN HER ORIGINAL STATE OR GETS TO SEE A NEW LIFE AND FINALLY BE GIVEN THE WORK PUT BACK INTO HER AS SHE CLEARLY HAS GIVEN OUT IN HER LIFE AS THERE IS NOT A BETTER CANDIDATE FOR A NO QUESTIONS RESTORATION. PLEASE CHECK OUT THE 100 DETAILED PICS AND ALL THE VIDEOS! WE ENCOURAGE ALL POTENTIAL BUYERS TO FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS.

WE ARE ALWAYS ON THE HUNT FOR CLEAN CLASSICS BUT ESPECIALLY ORIGINAL SURVIVORS AND CLASSIC TRUCKS SO THIS TRUCK BEING THE PERFECT COMBO OF THE TWO WE COULDN'T LEAVE WITHOUT IT. THAT OF COURSE IS ALSO MY DOWN FALL AND SOMETIMES I GET EMOTIONALLY INVOLVED IN VEHICLES THAT ARE ORIGINAL SURVIVORS AND WHAT KIND OF STORIES THEY CAN TELL BY NOT ONLY THE LOVE THEY SHOW THEY HAVE RECEIVED BUT ALSO THE SCUFFS AND BUMPS. THIS TO SOME PEOPLE IS ALSO OFTEN CALLED A PROBLEM OR CAR HORDING :) SO WITH FUTURE PLANS ON LARGER PERSONAL PROJECTS AND THE RECENT MOVE WE'VE MADE WITH THE BUSINESS I'VE REALIZED I HAVE TO THIN THE HEARD ON MY STASH OF SOME SURVIVORS AND RESTORATION PROJECT TRUCKS WE HAVE IN LINE SO YOU MAY SEE A FEW GREAT CANDIDATES FILTER OUT HERE AND THERE IN THE HIGHBOY C10 AND IH SCOUT DEPARTMENT (MY THREE SOFT SPOTS). WITH THAT SAID THIS TRUCK CAN HONESTLY BE LEFT AS-IS AND DRIVEN FOR YEARS AND YEARS JUST AS IT HAS BUT I COULDN'T IMAGINE A MORE HONEST OR DESERVING CANDIDATE FOR A PARTIAL SYMPATHETIC RESTORATION TO A FULL FRAME OFF BUILD!

BODY- THIS F250 IS A NICE SOLID AND HONEST ORIGINAL TRUCK THAT IS ABOUT 90% RUST FREE AND ISN'T HIDING ANY ISSUES OR MAKES YOU ASK WHATS UNDER THAT CHEAP REPAINT. AS MENTIONED ABOVE IT IS ABOUT 80% ORIGINAL PAINT WITH THE ONLY ITEMS THAT HAVE HAD A VERY OLD RESPRAY IS THE HOOD AND TOP SIDE OF CAB THAT LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN DONE IN THE EARLY 80'S AND AGED EVENLY WITH THE REST OF THE TRUCK. LUCKILY THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN IN THE NORTHWEST IT'S WHOLE LIFE WHERE WE HAVE MODERATE WINTERS AND USE NO SALT ON THE WINTER ROADS SO IT IS A VERY SOLID OLD FORD. THERE ARE ONLY A COUPLE SMALL PIN HOLES ON THE PASSENGER SIDE LOWER REAR CAB CORNER AND ON PASSENGER SIDE INNER FLOOR TO THE LEFT REAR FOOT WELL AREA. THE COWL FIRE WALL BODY MOUNTS RAIN GUTTERS WINDOW CHANNELS REST OF FLOORS ROOF DOORS FENDERS BED INNER AND OUTER ROCKERS ARE SOLID WITH ONLY SOME MINOR SURFACE RUST IN SOME AREAS WHERE PAINT HAS WORN IN THOSE AREAS OVER TIME. THE ORIGINAL SILVER METALLIC PAINT IS CLEARLY AGED AS YOU WOULD EXPECT FOR 36 YEARS OF USE AND MAY NOT BE THE STRONG POINT TO MANY WITH IT'S LACK OF SHINE BUT TO ME IT IS THE STRONGEST AND MOST DESIRABLE POINT WITH THE CHARACTER AND HONEST CONDITION LEAVES NO DOUBT WHAT AND WHERE THIS TRUCK IS. IT GIVES A CLEAR STARTING POINT DEPENDING ON YOUR PLANS AND ADVERTISES IT'S SELF WELL AS TO WHERE AND WHAT IT HAS DONE IN THE LAST 36 YEARS. THAT IS THE GREAT THING ABOUT SURVIVORS YOU REALLY CAN'T HIDE ANYTHING IT SIMPLY SHOWS YOU WHAT IT IS AND IT'S NEEDS GOOD OR BAD. THERE IS A SMALL DENT ON DRIVER REAR BOTTOM CAB CORNER ALONG WITH ONE ON BOTTOM REAR BODY LINE OF DRIVER BEDSIDE SIGNS OF CONTACT WITH SOMETHING IN THE PAST ON REAR DRIVER BED SIDE WITH SOME SCUFFS PAINT TRANSFER AND SMALL CREASE TOWARD THE TOP THE TAIL GATE HAS DINGS AND SCRATCHES YET STILL CLOSES AND LATCHES WELL. THE PASSENGER REAR BOTTOM OF BED HAS A DING THERE IS NUMEROUS DINGS AND SCUFFS ON TOP OF BED RAILS THE FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS ARE STRAIGHT BUT HAS SURFACE RUST ALONG WITH THE INSIDE FLOOR OF THE BED THAT HAS THE PAINT WORN AWAY FROM HAULING LOADS OVER THE YEARS. THERE IS OF COURSE CHIPS SMALL SCUFFS AND SCRATCHES THROUGHOUT THE TRUCK BUT ALL THE HARD TO FIND SIDE BODY TRIM AND GRILLE SHELL ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO DINGS OR DAMAGE. ALL GLASS IS IN GOOD SHAPE WITH TIGHT AND LOCKING FLY WINDOWS AND SIDE WINDOWS THAT ROLL UP AND DOWN SMOOTHLY AND WITHOUT ANY RESISTANCE. THIS TRUCK HAS BEEN LICENSED ON THE ROAD ALL 36 YEARS SINCE IT WAS ORIGINALLY BOUGHT NEW AND OVERALL IS AN IMPRESSIVE SOLID SURVIVOR THAT HAS STOOD UP TO THE YEARS AND USE WELL.

INTERIOR- INSIDE THIS F250'S INTERIOR MATCHES AND PAIRS TO THE EXTERIOR WELL THAT IS MOSTLY ORIGINAL RESPECTABLE AND MOSTLY WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT ON A CLASSIC TRUCK WITH JUST A COUPLE MODERN CHANGES. IT IS THE FACTORY BLACK WITH THE DELUXE INTERIOR TRIM PKG. NICE AND INTACT ORIGINAL HEADLINER ORIGINAL PAINT ON THE DASH THAT HAS A NICE BLACK DASH PAD ORIGINAL PLASTIC DOOR PANELS THAT LOOK GOOD BUT HAS SOME SIGNS OF AGING WITH A FEW SMALL CRACKS FROM OVER TIGHTENED SCREWS AND RATTLE A LITTLE! THE ORIGINAL FLOOR MAT HAS BEEN PULLED TO PREVENT RUST ALONG WITH A THICK COAT OF SPRAY ON BEDLINER. FOR MORE COMFORTABLE DRIVES AND MODERN FEEL A NEWER BENCH SEAT FROM A NEWER 95-97 F250 THE ORIGINAL HAS BEEN SWAPPED IN AND AN UPGRADED MP3 PIONEER CD PLAYER HAS BEEN INSTALLED. HEATER BLOWS WARM WITH GOOD A HEATER CORE WIPERS WORK AT BOTH SPEEDS ALL GAUGES WORK AND ARE CLEAR. THE DOORS POP RIGHT OPEN WITH EASEAND SHUT STRAIGHT WITH NOSAGGING OR DOOR LIFTING NEEDED BUT RATTLE A LITTLE DUE TO THE WEATHER STRIPPING BEING ORIGINAL AND HAS FLATTENED OVER THE YEARS. THE DOOR LOCKS BOTH WORK SIDE WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN THEORIGINAL SUN VISORS ARE IN GOOD SHAPE AND MOVE FREELY AND STAY UP AMAZINGLY. INSIDE IT SHOWS IT'S AGE AND A MINOR RESTORATION OR FRESHENING UP WOULD BE WHAT THIS TRUCK DESERVES BUT FOR 36 YEARS OLD SHE'S HELD UP!

MECHANICAL- THIS OLD FORD HAS BEEN MAINTAINED WELL THROUGHOUT THE YEARS THAT IS TIGHT AND SOLID MECHANICALLY. IT IS A VERY STRONG AND SMOOTH RUNNING TRUCK THAT HAS HAD EVERYTHING UNDER THE HOOD GONE THROUGH OR REPLACED A FEW YEARS AGO. UNDER THE HOOD IT LOOKS VERY STOCK CLEAN AND FACTORY WITH THE THE ORIGINAL 351 AND 2BBL CARB WERE REBUILT NEW ALTERNATOR STARTER BATTERY HOSES WATER PUMP RADIATOR AND COMPONENTS TO THE ELECTRONIC IGNITION WERE REPLACED. THIS TRUCK HAS A MILD CAM THAT GIVES IT A KILLER MUSCLE CAR LIKE SOUND AT IDLE BREATHING THROUGH THE DUAL FLOWMASTER EXHAUST ALWAYS FIRES RIGHT UP WITH JUST A COUPLE PUMPS OF THE PEDAL IDLES NICELY WHEN WARMED UP PULLS THROUGH ALL GEARS WITH NO HESITATION TICKING SMOKING MAJOR LEAKS OR ISSUES. THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN FULLY GONE THROUGH ALL THE WAY AROUND WITH NEW ROTORS CALIPERS AND BRAKE LINES UP FRONT SO SHE STOPS SOLID AND STRAIGHT. UP FRONT IT HAS A NEW HEAVY DUTY RED HEAD STEERING BOX AND ALL THE TIE RODS AND BALL JOINTS ARE TIGHT SO IT TRACKS NICE DOWN OLD COUNTRY SIDE ROADS OR AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS WITH NO WHITE KNUCKLE RIDES OR PLAY IN THE STEERING. IT HAS THE FACTORY T18 4-SPEED MANUAL TRANS THAT HAS A TIGHT SHIFT PATTERN PROPER PEDAL FEEL AND THE CLUTCH WAS GONE THROUGH WHEN THE MOTOR WAS DONE MANUAL 2-SPEED TRANSFER CASE MANUAL HUBS. TO GET THAT PROPER CLASSIC HIGHBOY STANCE AND LOOK IT HAS HAD A MILD SUSPENSION LIFT THAT WOULD ACCOMMODATE UP TO A 35" TIRE EASILY. IT AT ONE TIME SAT FOR 2 MONTHS IN THE GARAGE WITHOUT BEING TOUCHED AND LEFT NO LARGE PUDDLES AND FIRED RIGHT UP. THIS IS A CLASSIC TRUCK THAT WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN AND PULLS STRONG :)

IT WILL BE SAD TO SEE THIS TRUCK GO SO WE HOPE IT GOES TO A LOVING AND APPRECIATED HOME! BID TO OWN WITH NO RESERVE!WHILE I KNOW EVERYONE'S OPINION IS DIFFERENT THIS TRUCK TO ME IS EVERYTHING AN OLD TRUCK SHOULD BE WHILE IT HAS SOME FLAWS SHOWING ITS JOURNEY AND STORY IT DOESN'T ACT LIKE A MODERN TRUCK BUT IT STOPS PEOPLE STARTS CONVERSATIONS WITH STRANGERS AND STANDS UP TO ANY JOB IT IS ASKED TO. THIS TRUCK FULFILLS THAT OLD TRUCK NEED AND FEELING MOST ARE LOOKING FOR BUT IF YOU HAVE NOT EVER OWNED OR DRIVEN A VEHICLE OF THIS AGE I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO SIMPLY LOOK AT THE AMOUNT OF MODERN INVENTIONS THAT HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED SINCE THIS TRUCK WAS BORN AND HOW FAR OTHER ITEMS HAVE DEVELOPED OVER THE PAST FEW DECADES AND KEEP IN MIND NEW VEHICLES HAVE THE BOXES TO CHECK FOR COMFORT OPTIONS LIKE LEATHER HEATED SEATS NAVIGATION ETC AND VEHICLES OF THIS ERA LOADED MEANT GETTING POWER STEERING POWER BRAKES A BASIC AM STEREO AND A SPARE TIRE :) THIS MAY HELP TO AIM YOUR EXPECTATIONS ON OWNING A VEHICLE OF THIS AGE.

The older the car the harder it is to define the condition of the vehicle. Most of our vehicles are specialty vehicles or are 15+ years old and usually trucks. Because of this it is very difficult to describe each vehicle to everyone’s satisfaction. Based on the bidder'spersonal experience some bidders will be overly pleased with my description and pictures and others may feel that I fell short. I postthese auctions based on how I want to see auctions when I’m buying keeping in mind what I look for and I try to put your eye's to what I can see and touch. Please help me by asking all questions and letting me know if other pictures are wanted. If you do not see a pic or description of a item or a area on the truck please do not assume anything and ask me about the specifics your a needing or for more pics and i will post every question asked by members so all potential bidders can see. Every car is available for inspection and i personally drive each vehicle before listing it and If anything does not work properly I will let you know. Of course I amonly human and these are mechanical creatures and these are usedvehicles so please keep this in mind when bidding >< >< ><
