1958 Ford Custom 300 2 door post.
The car started life as a 6 cylinder manual transmission car. It was originally painted black with black and gray interior.
I'll tell you what I know about the car as I took it on trade for one of my motorcycles. The car was dropped off to me and would fire and not run. It does have some rust, dents and in perfections. So I started digging into the car. First off I opened the hood and saw that it was no where near the factory running gear so I started to look around the car a little more. When I got the car it's backseat was full of parts off a 1970 Shelby Mustang that I sold to a good buddy of mine. I crawled underneath with a light and the car is set up as follows:
351wC6 tranny9" rear end.
It had no brakes so I replaced the master cylinder, new fluid and bled all the lines.I converted it over to an HEI Ignition, with new wires.Has a Holley quad on it and needed a new choke as the plastic one had broken so it was replaced.
I pulled the fuel tank, cleaned the lines and replaced the electric fuel pump with a Holley Red tag.
The brass float was bad, sender works but it will need a float.
Whoever did most of the fab for the motor and tranny did an amazing job. It has factory exhaust manifolds and complete dual exhaust all the way from the front to the back in good condition. The car runs and drives great and I like it, but I have to many toys so she has got to go. I replaced the ignition, drivers door lock and trunk lock. I have the passenger side door lock waiting to go in. It has no power steering, or power brakes. The fan for the heater works, but the core has been bypassed long before I owned it. The speedo dosent work and will need someone to get the dash lights working. Interior will need some love and overall it's a fun car that gets tons of looks and comments.
