Description:

1967 Ford Mustang

This car was built in San Jose, CA and shipped to Reynolds-Hamilton Ford in Morton, TX.Made its way down to Huntsville, TX and I have owned it since 1981. While I am not the first owner, I am the third at most. Bought this car in high school and spent most of my younger days playing/working on it. I am not a professional, but a hobbyist and enjoyed this car to the extreme. The carpet is in poor shape and the seats (custom white leather) are shot. I had always planned on restoring this car, but the rear transmission seal blew out 10 years ago and I parked it in the garage. Life got in the way and I am embarrassed to say I let it rot. While it is not a GT, Fastback or anything super special, it is intact with no major bodywork or issues. It has a few bubbles in the paint (which is old and needs repainting) there is no major rust. The floor pans are good as it has been in Texas its entire existence and we don't salt our roads down here. Bumpers are in great shape and it has newer tires (just put them own a few weeks ago). Engine was rebuilt at 135,000 miles in 1989. I put a modified cam in it and had the original heads reworked. They now have screw in studs instead of pressed and chrome moly push rods were installed. Engine turns over, but I have not run it for awhile. I am sure it needs fresh gas and a carb job. The C4 transmission was rebuilt in 1990, but needs work again. I had a Shelby style hood scoop put on when I repainted it in 1988. Went with the original paint color which I have always called honey apple gold, but lime green is what I hear most call it. If you are looking for a great project car, this is it. I see a lot of rusted old Stangs in really poor shape on here, but this one is in much, much better condition and has been in my garage for 10 years.
