Description:

1968 Ford Torino GT

The Torino was very similar to the Mustang, and Ford's answer to the Dodge Charger. This Torino is in excellent shape after a total rebuild. This Central Texas car was taken down to bare metal and rebuilt from the ground up. The car runs and drives great - perfect for a weekend cruiser.
A few details about the car: power steering, power brakes (disc front and drum rear), and A/C all working. The car has a Ford Racing Crate Engine, AOD automatic performance transmission, performance rear-end gears, and performance exhaust. Details on all this below.
During the rebuild the following were put into the car:
New Ford Racing Crate Engine 302 (M-6007-X302E equivalent)
E303 Camshaft - Auto or Manual Transmission
302 cubic inches
340 hp
9.0:1 compression ratio (nominal)
Forged pistons
Forged steel connecting rods
BOSS 4-bolt main block M-6010-BOSS302
Hydraulic roller camshaft M-6250-E30, .498" lift intake and exhaust, duration at .050" is 220 degrees intake and exhaust
Double roller timing chain set M-6268-A302
Forged steel crankshaft
Rear sump pan fits most Fox body cars
Ford Racing aluminum GT-40 "X" cylinder heads M-6049-X306 with 1.94" intake valves and 1.54" exhaust valves
Roller rocker arms
We installed an Edelbrock intake manifold and Holley 750 cfm double-pumper carburetor. We're running performance headers with Flowmaster Super 40 mufflers. This car sounds exactly how a muscle car should!
Rebuilt AOD Transmission with performance shift kit is installed in the car and runs great! I also have a rebuilt C6 Transmission with a performance shift kit that will be included with the sale. It was rebuilt at the same time as the AOD but we didn't use. So, the C6 is practically brand new.
The Ford 8" rear-end was rebuilt with 4.10 gears. It launches!
When the car was rebuilt, a great deal of time and money was spent making sure the body lines looked good. The paint looks great on this car.
A custom black leather interior went into the car on the rebuild. Every part that could be purchased new was, and we made every part going back into the car look like new.
I have nearly $40,000 in this car. It's a steal for $25,000. I am listing this car locally as well, so I reserve the right to pull the ad at any time if it sells locally.
