1965 Ford Mustang Base Hardtop 2-Door

1965 Ford Mustang Coupe - Newly restored with many improvements & Shelby upgrades.
Originally a six-cylinder car, this coupe has received a full restoration and upgrade to V8 engine, transmission, suspension & brakes.
So much to list, but please read to appreciate the effort that went into this car:
Body:
Full glass-out paint job in the car's original Wimbledon white. Denver DSO 51 car. Minimal rust repair. Driver's toe board replaced correctly with new welded panel. Front fender lips trimmed and rolled to accommodate larger wheels/tires. Front valance scoop for added cooling air flow. Shelby scooped hood and pins. Original dated Carlite glass all around. Underside is detailed in red primer. Wheel wells are clean and coated with truck bed liner. Good stainless trim & bumpers. Shelby style grille.
Suspension:
All new V8 suspension & bushings. 8" rear end. Upgraded springs front & rear. Larger front sway bar. Welded subframe connectors. Torque boxes add for additional body stiffness. KYB gas adjust shocks. Monte Carlo bar & Export brace added to engine compartment. Front suspension "Shelby drop" performed for improved cornering.
Engine / Transmission:
V8 289 with 3 speed manual transmission. Edelbrock performer aluminum intake topped with new Holley 600 cfm carb. Tri-Y headers with throaty dual exhaust. New aluminum oversized radiator (air flow opening increased too). New ignition points, spark plugs & wires. Milodon oil pan. Shelby style air cleaner.
Brakes:
Front disc brakes upgrade from Stainless Steel Brakes Co. Dual master cylinder.
Interior:
All new seat covers, headliner, package tray. Mustang running horse rubber mats. Shelby R style dash with original mustang woodgrain wheel. Radio delete. Front seat belts. Gauges work well.
Rims & tires:
Vintage 45 rims without center caps for a "racy" look. New Sumitomo tires.
Also:
Gas tank removed, cleaned, painted & new sender added. New gas cap. New Shelby bullet mirror. New window rollers, newly greased window tracks. Interior of doors treated with WaxOyl anti-rust. New rubber all around - window gaskets, door & trunk weatherstripping, hood & door bumpers. Added a metal divider between the trunk/gas tank and rear seat area for safety. New locks and keys.
Over $2000 of recent tuning and alignment professionally performed.
