1973 Mercury Cougar XR-7Convertible

This is a solid driver in need of some cosmetic work. Car has some random, vandalism type scratches, a dent on fender, and something odd going on on one door. The dented fender and door are pictured, the scratches wouldn't show well, but they are present. There have been a couple patches welded into the floor, but this car is not a rotten mess. We have restored several old cars, and this would be an easy one.

The Cougar starts, runs, and drives well. The motor does have a tick to it, not sure if lifter, bearing, rocker arm, or... Runs well, and has Edelbrock intake manifold, carburetor, and some chrome goodies. It is a 351 Windsor, with an automatic.

Interior is decent, no rips. Could use a good detail and a few little odds and ends.

Power top works, roof is decent but dirty. No rips. The back window os open along one end, not sure if its just a zipper issue or if it needs repair.

Car has recent dual exhaust and it sounds fantastic. Not obnoxious loud, but nobody is going to mistake it for a hybrid!

Reserve is set low so please only serious bidders. Car is being sold as is, local pickup only. We will help with loading on site, or can help arrange delivery to local shipper of buyers choice at buyers expense. $500.00 deposit by paypal on auction close, balance in cash or certified cheque upon pickup.
