1953 Ford F-100

This 1953 Ford F-100 pickup is one of those vehicles that makes us stop and gaze in wonder at its beauty. A spectacular frame-off build, it is expertly finished to a very high standard and runs with Chevy power under the hood. The detailing alone would suggest that it's a superior example of the hot-rodder's art, because it is absolutely amazing in every way, but the fact that it drives so well is testament to the true spirit of hot rodding. We never use words like perfect or flawless, but you could spend a lot of time poring over the beautiful red paint and not find any notable blemishes or evidence of use. Yes, it's that good. That sheetmetal is expertly finished, super smooth, and with excellent gaps that can only come from long hours of tedious fitting and adjusting, and while there are a few modifications like shaved emblems, filled drip rails, and a seamless top, it has that stand-up old school look that makes these trucks so popular. The cab was restored on a rotisserie and looks better than new in every way, while the bed is completely restored, including the beautifully finished floor and discreet LED brake lights tucked into the bed rails. There isn't much chrome left, since the bumpers, door handles, and emblems were shaved, but the body-colored grille, running board rails, and custom rear roll pan mean you won't miss any of it.The spectacular tan leather interior has an OEM-level of fit and finish that you just don't expect in a truck. The seats and center armrest are custom built for this truck, meaning that they're comfortable, supportive, and it's very trick the way they blend into the rear bulkhead, which is also a custom piece. Door panels were specially created to work with the seats and plush tan carpets on the floor mean things stay quiet and comfortable when you're on the road. The original instrument panel was smoothed and painted to match the body, with a chrome insert full of Dakota Digital gauges that disappear when you turn off the key. Of course, a truck like this has all the modern conveniences, including A/C (with R134a refrigerant inside), power windows, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and a tilt steering column with a wheel that looks right for a pickup truck. Custom-fitted floor mats, acres of sound-deadening materials, and tinted windows are just some of the thoughtful touches that make this truck so easy to live with.Power comes from a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 which was fully rebuilt and upgraded with that incredible Ingelse 8-stack EFI system. Looking for all the world like an old-school set of deuces, it runs beautifully and comes with a FAST fuel injection computer with a handheld controller. Turn the key and it runs, it's that simple. The engine bay is ultra-sanitary with plenty of chrome and polished aluminum and careful routing of the lines and hoses to keep them out of sight. The suspension is comprised of a Mustang II front setup with rack-and-pinion steering and a chrome Ford 9-inch out back hanging on a 4-link with coil-overs. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission swaps the gears and a custom exhaust system gives it an awesome performance bark. Everything is highly detailed, shiny, polished, and painted to look its best, making this a truck that needs no excuses on the show field or out on the road. Right-sized Billet Specialties wheels fill those fat fenders using staggered 225/50/17 front and giant 275/45/20 rear Falken radials.Look at the details, the quality, and the components that went into this build and then think about how much time and effort it required to make it look this pretty. A show winner, ready to cruise today. You need to call right now!
