Description:

1947 Ford Business Coupe Custom Hot Rod Project

Up for consideration is my 1947 Ford Coupe Project. I have wrestled with selling this one for awhile as it is the NICEST Ford Coupe I have ever owned.
I purchased this car a couple of years ago from a friend. He owned it since 1975. It was rodded in Waterloo/Cedar Falls Iowa in the mid-late 60's. Apparently, this was the fastest street car at the time in that area. I cannot confirm this as the pictures indicate the current condition of the car.
It is virtually rust free. There is one spot of rust in the trunk on the passenger side.
The front end is a Chassis Engineering (West Branch, IA) Mustang II. The rear axle is an 8" Ford with 3.00 gears and sits on Chassis Engineering Parallel Leafs. The engine mounts are also Chassis Engineering. I do not have the biscuits or engine mounts that attach to the block. Due to the age of sitting, calipers, seals, wheel cylinders, etc may need replacement.
There are 2 sets of rear fenders (one with radiused wheel wells (46-48) and a stock appearing (41) set). There are also 2 dash boards (46-48) and a (41). The front clip has 2 hoods (not pictured) and is for a 1941. These fit the same, I personally like the 1941's the best.
The interior is dirty as is the whole car. If I had time, I would clean the entire floor to show how solid it is. Again, this is by far the most solid coupe I have ever had.
I have a clear and up-to-date Iowa paperwork in my name and possession.
Car can be stored for 30 days after payment clears. Payment must be received within 10 days. Vehicle must be paid for in full before it leaves my possession. $500 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours of auction close.
******Obviously, the last 2 pictures show finished cars. These are not mine, just what I imagined this car to look like once it was completed.************
