Up for sale is an amazing 1977 Ford F-150 XLT Ranger Trailer Special pickup truck. This truck is still one of the best-looking trucks on the road after all these years. It is in exceptional well-maintained original mechanical condition, as well as being very straight with no overt presentation of rust. Details as follows:
1977 Ford F-150 XLT Ranger Trailer Special, factory original two-tone Dark Jade Green & Jade Green metallic paint; a beautiful and rare color combination. This truck is loaded with the hard-to-find XLT Ranger trim package, including the “race track” side trim that accompanied the two-tone upgrade option. An easy driver with power steering and power brakes. The factory Trailer Special package adds an even heavier-duty 3.25 ratio Limited Slip rear axle, HD suspension, HD brakes, HD cooling system, etc. A beautiful classic survivor truck.
The paint remains in very good shiny condition, as you can see; not perfect, but perfectly presentable. The truck is as straight as you might find anywhere. Very straight body panels, good glass throughout, excellent original chrome front bumper, nice rear step bumper, etc. Very nice XLT Ranger stainless side molding trim, stainless tailgate panel, nice grilles, bezels, etc. The bed is solid and has a new high-end spray-in bed liner. The tailgate opens and closes smoothly. This is a very good-looking truck that turns heads wherever it goes.
The engine is the powerful 460 4-barrel V8 with only 104k original miles. The engine starts easily, runs smoothly with good oil pressure and no bottom end or valve train noise... a very sound and well-maintained engine. Excellent exhaust system with factory exhaust manifolds, sounds smooth and powerful. Fresh tune-up parts, fluids, and filters, and a new battery. The truck is turnkey and ready to roll.
The truck drives extremely well, and tracks straight down the road straight. She steers easily with true power steering (not “power assist” as in earlier years), and brakes well and straight. In summary, the truck is a real pleasure to drive.
The interior is original, in very nice condition, and features original carpet (worn, with color-coordinated floor mats over worn foot areas), nice original dash & gauges in working order, working, turn signals, and wipers. New original-style seat upholstery that both looks and feels great, with new foam. The special XLT Ranger door panels and headliner are present and nice as well. Overall, a very good “survivor quality” original interior enjoyable exactly as-is.
This is fantastic original classic Ford you can climb in and enjoy exactly as-is.
