This vehicle is quite possibly the finest and most accurate Shelby GT350 recreation available today. Currently an authentic and well restored 1965 Shelby GT350 sells for over $300k.... This exceptional vehicle is very near accurate by even "Shelby guy" standards and available at a FRACTION of the price. If you happen to be one of those "Shelby guys", you will notice there are ONLY two items on this vehicle that differ from a true $300k ShelbyGT350. First, the rear fold down seat was left intact. Second, due to the seat being left intact, it does not allow for the override traction bars to be installed. Aside from those items, this car is spot on cosmetically and mechanically. Our shop can very easily remedy these two items for the new owner if desired. The engine and transmission specs are as followed: Correct 289 cubic inch engine, Holley 715cfm carb, manual choke (under dash), open chrome air cleaner, dual point distributor, 4" alternator pulley, Cobra aluminum high rise intake, Cobra valve covers (hollow letters for a '65), Cobra oil pan (7.5 quart), Cyclone 'Tri-Y" Headers, apron Brace (Monte Carlo bar). This vehicle features a T-10 close ratio 4spd with aluminum case and a 9 inch rear end with Detroit Automotive locking rear. The suspension specs are as follows: upper front A-Arms lowered 1", special lengthened pitman and idler arms, 1" front sway bar, Koni adjustable shocks, stabilizer bar, override traction bars, axle limiting cables in rear, 1' rear spring spacers. The braking system features Kelsey Hayes front disc, larger rear drums, larger master cylinder with front brass fitting, and proportioning valve. The exterior of the car features correct side striping, fiberglass hood with scoop, hood pins, chrome bullet style side mirrors, 15" wheels, blue dot tires, correct rear passenger side badge, correct fender "horse" delete, correct grill insert and badge. The interior of this masterpiece features the correct wood 3 spoke steering wheel with Cobra center, Tach/Oil pod (both CS, tach 8k), aircraft 3" seatbelts, dash mounted toggle for horn, CS sill plate emblems. Other Shelby specific features include side dump exhaust, windshield washer system delete, driveshaft safety loop, oversized oil pressure sending line, hood latch delete, trunk mounted battery, and Shelby plate riveted over Ford VIN on drivers side apron.
