1940 Ford Deluxe 2 Door Sedan Custom Hot Rod Street Rod The hard part is over with this nearly completed restoration. It just needs a little more to make it your own. This car has never been shown. Driven less than 5 test miles. Frame-off restoration. The craftsmanship is very professional. The fit and finish is excellent and stays true to the 40 Ford look. Engine The engine runs strong and starts instantly! It is a completely rebuilt 1952 Ford Flathead V8 bored .40 over with all new components including three new Edelbrock 94 carburetors and Edelbrock intake. It has neatly installed dual exhaust with headers and Flowmaster mufflers. The flywheel was resurfaced with new pilot bearing throwout bearing and clutch pressure plate. New aluminum radiator with 17'' electric fan. Includes external spin-on oil filter and electric fuel pump with cartridge fuel filters. The transmission is a Mustang 5-speed with a new drive shaft. Undercarriage The frame is powder coated. It has a straight axle front end and a completely rebuilt Chevy Nova rear end with new rear springs and hangers. Front and rear sway bars were installed to correct body roll. New brake shoes wheel cylinders calipers and front rotors. The brakes have an adjustable equalizer valve and a dual master cylinder. New brake lines and fuel lines with fuel filter and pressure regulator valve. Body The body is all steel and straight! The hood doors trunk lid and fenders all fit nicely and the doors open and close flawlessly. The few modifications are tastefully done and keep the ‘40 Ford look. The door and trunk handles have been shaved and replaced with a remote entry system and late model bear claw latches. The glass channels felt and rubber are new. The window regulators have been media blasted painted and installed. The garnish moldings have been media blasted and primed. The paint is vibrant red and appears to be flawless and free of scratches and dents. Interior The front and back seat are original and recovered in red velour. The front seat mount and adjusters were media blasted and painted. The headliner bows are included but not shown. The car appears to be totally wired right up to the instrument cluster with a Keep It Neat mounted fuse box. The instrument cluster is not included. Clear title. Sold as is. Please see pictures.
