1971 FORD F-100 Good Condition
1971 Ford F-100
My grandfather bought this truck new in 1971 and drove it sparingly until his death in 1985; which accounts for the low 47,000 original miles. My mom has owned the truck since but has decided to sell it, so I have created this auction for her.
The truck is a base Custom model with 240c.i. inline 6 cylinder and 3 speed standard shift on the column. Please see the pictures as the truck is not 100% perfect. There are a few nicks and scratches in the paint, the dash pad is cracked, the engine compartment needs detailing and the original vinyl covering is separating at the top of the seat back.
Please ask any questions before bidding and I will try to reply promptly. If there is something I don’t know I will get the information from Mom as quickly as I can. Please do not bid unless you are serious about following through. My mom will not sign over the title or allow it to be loaded before payment is made in full via cash or cashier’s check. I hope this doesn’t offend you as I’m sure you are honest, as most people are, but we have dealt with some unscrupulous characters before.
Since the truck has not been driven regularly I would advise trailering it. Although it does start and run smoothly and the tires are good I wouldn’t trust the belts, hoses, etc.on long trips before I tested them out on shorter drives. Pick-up or shipping is buyer’s responsibility and expense.
