This is an ORIGINAL F-code 1969 Ford Torino GTthatspent it's early life in the Memphis, Tennessee area hailing from the City ofMarianna, Arkansasoriginally. This car stayed in the south and at some point found it's way to the Atlanta, Ga Area. This car was a driver for a number of years before beingput away and a restoration started on it.The Torino ended up in the hands of a well intentionedenthusiast who ended up with 3 Torino's and he quickly found out he did not have the time to devote to restoring all 3. After getting started on the restoration the reality of things set in;it was decided that it would be best to sell offthe Torino's. This is the last of the 3 cars and it is justwaiting forthe nextTorinoenthusiast to come along and finish restoring this car to its former glory!!

This car was aBasic Order at Webster Ford Co. in Marianna, AR. and ordered in theMemphis 63 DSO inthevisually stunning and very desirableF-code Gulfstream Aqua Hue withaBlackC- Stripe and a matching Black Vinyl Bench Seat Interior.

This GT was furtherspec'd outwith theStandard F-code 302-2V,C4 Automatic Transmission, and a 2.79 geared conventional rear end!

This car is a project car and has been sitting fora number of years.Somewhere along the way the Torino powerplantwas upgraded to a more powerful351W engine. The previous owner attempted to get the car running and did not have much luck with itso he ended up just parking it behind his house as a 'someday' project. I pulled the car out of his yard and with a little work was able to get the car running with some fresh fuel in an auxiliary tank. The engine actually runs good and I have a video of it running in the car that I will post a link to below. The engine does oil foul the plug in #1 cylinder, so it probably would not hurt to freshen the engine at some point. The Transmission does drop into gear but I have not driven itany distance as the brakes are not functional at this time. This is not a driver by any means, butit is a solid project car that does run. It will need some more work to make it a driver, but could be ready with a weekends worth of work.

Thecar been repaintedover the original Gulfstream Aqua paint and color changed to this shade of Metallic Blue. Definitely not a high end repaint and it is tired now with cracks and chips all around. At some point the passenger 1/4 was hit and some back woods body guy decided just to throw mud at it rather than hammer and dollying out the dent.We ground out the bondo to find a very solid panel underneath that while itwill need some massaging to get it back into shape I do not believeit warrants replacement. Driver 1/4 is decent but does have some smallamounts of rust coming up, but very easy fix for a good body guy.Needs the battery apron patched and a new battery tray. Car has very minor rust (see pics) and hashad some filler used here and there used to straighten the body back in the day. It has its share of bumps and bruises but is not a terrible car to work with. With that said a complete cosmetic resto would be in order.Car really needs to be stripped, straightened, and repainted back to it's original Gulfstream Aqua with Black GT C-stripe color combination again!!
The Body on theTorino whilenowhere near perfect, norpaint ready is a reasonably good platform from which to start with. The Hood,Fenders, Doors, and 1/4's while needing some attention are allworkable pieces. The Floors have been done and theFrame Rails, Rockers, etc. are solid on this car.
Undoubtedly you will need someparts and pieces for this car as yourestore it, but it is a pretty much complete car that is well optioned and asuper solid platform to start with!!
TheBlack Bench Seat Interior isoriginal and for the most part is all there; but needing restoration. While it does show the years of wear and tear; most all of the pieces seem to be serviceable/restorable pieces.
The carwas originally equipped with 14 inch GT wheels which I have for it,it is pictured with an original set of Ford 15x7 Magnum 500 Wheels; that are for photographic purposes only and NOT included with this auction. This car will be delivered with the original 14 inch GT wheels back on it.
Please be realistic in your expectations of this car as anearly 50year old project car that has been around the block and knocked around a bit needing complete restoration to include body work, mechanical work, and cosmetic reconditioning.
Overall this is a very decent original 1969TorinoGTthat is a solid restoration candidate. Thisis a runningrestorationproject. There are lots of picked over, rusted out carcasses out there; but decent do-able cars such as this that are not rusted to death do not come along very often. This car is registered and insured in my name and is ready for transfer. If you have been looking for a SolidTorino GT to restore then don't hesitate on this one; as is it may be some time before another suitable running resto projectsuch as this comes along again!
