1960 Ford Galaxie Country sedan

1960 ford country sedan running driving mostly original solid 4 door station wagon .( I Have Videos of car running and driving if you want to see them just tex me at 918-884-5481)... Car starts and runs fine and is dependable but needs some cosmetic attention .... When I bought it had been in a hail storm and that's why some of the windows are cracked and some of the trim is dented up ... Fortunately the rear hatch window escaped the damage !!!! All the glass is easily obtainable ... The trim may be a little harder to find !!!! I had some buddies rough in the body and put in a satin mint green but after driving it a while it has developed some small bubbles hear and there as pictured .... So if this concerns you then u will need to have it repaired ... There are no door panels for the car I'm not aure where they went but they wernt with the car when I got it ... Seats are original and could use a recover or some Indian blankets ??? Headliner is original and starting to show its age color wise but it's up and intact !! ... I do have all the exterior door handles and was searching for replacement gaskets before installing them (I can install hem without the gaskets for u if u want before pickup)
Original 352 fe with 3 speed on the column ... Standard drum brakes ... I have a box of new parts that I have yet to put on it there are some extra brake linings and some bushings and other small mechanical replacement items thay it hasn't really needed but I bought anyways !!!
I have put a new starter on it and new exhaust with turbo mufflers and tail pipes out the back ...I also put the new Astro supreme wheels and 14" white stripe tires have less than 1k miles on them .... I put a 2" lowering block in the rear and trimmed 1 1/2 coils off the front ... It could be easily put back if your not into having it this low ..... It is low !!! Rides great on the highway but the Intown bumps must be takin with caution and yes I have dragged coming into steep parking lots ...
Floor pans are mostly solid and I have more pics and video and if your dead set and a serious buyer I can put it on my lift and get better pics .... The only spot where I see a hole thru is the drivers rear behind the rear wheel beside a body mount there is a baseball sizes hole where it looks like there may have been a drain for a ice chest or rear air ????? It looks like it was a hole saw drilled hole thay spread a little ??? Other than this floors are intact for the most part especially the rear spare tire hole that is usually rusted out In these cars !!! See pic !!!
Some of the quirks with the car just so your in the know .... Uses about a 1/2 quart of oil every 500 miles ... I'm in the habit of checking t every time I drive it so that isn't that big of an issue ... Also the accelerator pump in the carburetor could used an overhaul as if the car sits more than a few days you have to give it a small drink of gas to get it to start up as it can't pimp any gas out of the bowl ... Just a couple drips before u try to start and it busts right off ... After it starts it will start every time till it sits a few days (more like a week) ... Also it has the same goofy 3 speed on the column lingo that so many old driver fords have ... It only takes a few miles to get it down ... Basically a couple wiggles here and there and don't try to go into first till all the way stopped ... Don't try to down shift from 3rd to first etc ... If you have drove one uou know !!!!
Speedometer works .. Maybe about 5 mph off but it works as well as the odometer !!! Gas guage works as well as most of the lights on the dash and on the exterior !!!
Tailgate and rear hatch is solid ... Missing some trim on the tailgate but I'm sure u could round it up ...
Car is dependable and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere with my mechanical skills and flexible work schedule ... Do I advise to fly in and make that drive ??? I can't answer that because I don't know your ability to fix something on the road that could unexpectantly fail ... I would think it would be best to trailer or have delivered and get familiar with the car before heading out on a long haul !!!!
Cool old car that would make an awesome surf wagon rat rod tattoo shop vehicle advertisement ext ... With a little cosmetic work like door panels and some Indian blankets and pinstripe maybe some fur on the dash and some scallops on the exterior you would stand out even more than it all ready does !!!
I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff so please message or don't hesitate to call if your a bidder ... Car is in Tulsa Oklahoma and I could hold onto it for up to a month from auctions end if paid in full ... Also it is no problem to meet with your transport company and assists but please let them know that car sits low !!! I have floor jacks ramps and wood to help and a big rig can get down my road easily so that no issue ....
